CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Pure Play Media has signed an international distribution agreement with adult production studio Pink Lotus Entertainment.
Headed by Aaron Sax, Vincenzo Piano and Andreas Viola, Pink Lotus has been shooting adult content for over a year. Pure Play begins distributing the company's library this month, and new releases will follow starting with the July release of Girls With Daddy Issues.
"Pink Lotus Entertainment is our latest discovery and a perfect addition, having received attention on Playboy TV for their triple-X parodies," said Pure Play Media CEO Richard Arnold. "This studio is gaining momentum and has much to offer. I am happy to have Pure Play distributing exclusively for them."
Pink Lotus business partner and CFO Vila is equally excited about the deal.
"We have been producing films for over a year now and have fielded numerous potential distribution partnerships with companies," said Viola. "We held out until now. None of the others had a catalogue as respectable as Pure Play Media. Our goal is to evolve into one the premier feature producing companies out there and through our partnership with Pure Play, this will be achieved."
According to Pink Lotus creative director Piano, the company's goal is to bring back the big production values and story-driven features of classic porn.
"In a market oversaturated with online gonzo and amateur porn, our goal is to fill the cinematic void that has been largely absent since the '70s," said Piano. "We like to think of ourselves as an indie film company that releases work on par with that of the majors in the adult industry. Our feature line consists mainly of parodies. Our first film slated for DVD release through Pure Play is Girls With Daddy Issues.
