Private TV Launches in Latin America

BARCELONA – Private Media Group Inc. and Playboy TV Latin America have announced the launch of the Private television channel to be broadcast with leading cable operators in Brazil, Argentina, Central America and the Caribbean. Private and Playboy Latin America also announced a new Video-on-Demand service for South America available in the second quarter of 2008.

In Brazil, the channel will appear on NET, the largest pay-television operator in Latin America.

In Argentina, the channel will be carried by Telecentro, one of the leading cable operators in the Buenos Aires metropolitan region.

In Central America and the Caribbean, Private television will be available from the Telmex cable companies.

Mariano Varela, executive VP and general manager of Playboy TV Laatin America said, "The agreements we have signed recently in Argentina, Brazil and Central America represent significant growth for our distribution deal with Private. Private has strong brand equity in Latin America, and we expect continued growth in the region in 2008."

Peter Cohen, chief operating officer of Private Media Group added, "This is a rapidly growing marketplace for adult entertainment and we will continue to provide expanded content offerings in the region. This is consistent with our overall global expansion on to new media platforms."
