Dave Pounder, who has retired from performing in adult films to pursue a Ph.D., recently spoke at a graduate level course on Constructing Sexuality at Indiana University.
Sociology professor Martin Weinberg invited Pounder to speak to his class of approximately 20 graduate students.
Pounder spoke about sexual perceptions, interpersonal relationships, and his experiences in the adult film business, while fielding questions from the class regarding sex in media, the inner workings of the industry, and his decision to leave the business to pursue a relationship.
