A group of porn veterans are set to rock the house Friday night at B.B. King's Blues Club at Universal City Walk.
The band, Voodoo Circus, features Juicy Entertainment general manager Danny Gorman, Zero Tolerance editor Lisa McCormack and Peach DVD president Jim Monroe.
This isn't the first go-round for the band. As Gorman told AVN.com, "We played together for about three years, but then we all went our separate ways."
Gorman, who has a background playing drums behind such acts as England Dan and John Ford Coley, Juice Newton and Bobby Womack, described the reunion. "Jimmy called me and said why don't we get together and just jam and have some fun? So that's what we did. We went to a rehearsal studion and started jamming and the guy who booked us into B.B. King's happened to be at the studio, and he heard us and asked us to come in and open for this other band. We weren't even planning on getting back together, but here we are."
Because Voodoo Circus is the opener, the show starts early at 7 p.m. But as Gorman noted, "They serve really good food there." Perfect, in other words, for the dinner hour.
