LAS VEGAS - Broadcast startup VaVoom TV has signed an impressive lineup of adult stars to appear in original programming for the network's fall 2007 launch.
AVN Hall of Famer Sunset Thomas and her husband Kent Wallace have been working with VaVoom head Steven Brown to develop content for the network. VaVoom's flagship shows include "America's Naked Talent" and the reality series "Sunrise to Sunset," both starring Ms. Thomas.
Aurora Snow and Randy West will join Sunset as celebrity judges on "America's Naked Talent." Nina Hartley is slated to star as "Judge Nudie," while Jay Ashley and Mia Presley will co-host "America's Naked Chefs."
Other porn stars who have signed on to appear in VaVoom series include Rebecca Love, Lexi Carlson, Danielle Day, Barbie Love, Jade Simone St. Clair and Lux Kassidy.
"Rebecca is co-starring with Ben E. Beckman in a show called 'Little Dick,'" Wallace told AVN. "It's a comedy/drama series about a midget private detective, and Rebecca plays his able-bodied sidekick. We also have a standup comic named David Russo who's going to have his own show visiting erotic attractions in Las Vegas, from strip clubs to 'The Fashionistas' and the X-Girls revue."
Brown told AVN that VaVoom TV will commence production on Sept. 15 for a projected launch in October. "We've already got three episodes of Sunset's reality show completed, and we're in the process of closing cable and satellite deals in the U.S. and Europe," he said.
VaVoom has reportedly acquired broadcast rights to four episodes of the independently produced satire 'Porntourage'and plans to launch a radio network along with its Website, www.vavoomtv.com .
According to Brown, VaVoom's content is erotic but not hardcore. Meanwhile, inside sources say that Sunset Thomas is planning a final XXX feature to be produced by VaVoom.
