LOS ANGELES—Have you applied for a job on a fluke? You don’t expect to get contacted by the employer, and your justification for applying was just a “what would happen if…” scenario.
Before you know it, you are surprised to find yourself interviewing for that position and you get the job. For Hollywood Cash, that is exactly how he entered porn.
In a late afternoon phone interview with AVN, Cash—a rising male talent who has starred in titles for some of the highest-profile studios and imprints in adult entertainment—told us that he was simply messing around on Twitter late one night a few years back and went down what he calls a “rabbit hole” into the world of adult entertainment. It was an illuminating event.
“I was already a commercial model and an actor. I saw someone’s bio that said, 'Book through this agent,'” Cash said. “I was like ‘Oh, shit, porn stars have agents, like how models and actors have agents.’” This piqued his interest and led him to reach out to an agency that represents both male and female talent. Little did Cash know that this was going to turn into something that would skyrocket him to success so early in his career as an adult actor. “I was just, honestly, kind of joking,” he explained.
“I submitted some modeling pictures and like some dick pictures,” he said. “It’s like 1:00 in the morning. By 3:00 in the morning, the owner of the agency was responding.”
Cash said that the owner was asking about the pictures he submitted being real, and he was then invited to chat live over the phone or FaceTime. “Yeah, like it became a real thing, like just me joking,” he said. And, that joke became reality. He initially turned down an offer from an agency due to some personal matters. But as time passed, he reached out to the agency owner and he was signed. The agency in question is OC Modeling, winner of the 2019 Urban X Award for Best Talent Agency. OCM's impressive roster boasts the likes of AVN Award-winning performer and Vixen Angel Violet Myers, as well as a list of dynamic leading men including Brazzers contract performers Xander Corvus and Van Wylde, Vixen exclusive Maximo Garcia, Zac Wild, Nathan Bronson, Chris Diamond, Alex Jones and AVN Hall of Famer Derrick Pierce. Cash is in good company. And, since his porn debut, he has appeared in scenes produced for blue-chip imprints like Blacked, Blacked Raw, Evil Angel, Brazzers, Cherry Pimps and more. He is also active in the creator content sphere with his own OnlyFans and ManyVids accounts.
Originally from Detroit, Cash moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of being an actor and model. He explained that he saw some success by being cast in bit parts, starring alongside AAA mainstream talent. He also has been the face of marketing campaigns for fashion brands such as Puma and appeared in an ad campaign for Meta Platforms Inc. advertising features for Facebook. Given the influence of Detroit's heavy music scene, he also is a rapper who has dedicated his life to being creative in all possible manners. He has transferred his strong focus and work ethic to his porn craft.
“I feel like I've learned a lot and I'm learning a lot about myself, my kinks, and everything,” he said, alluding to his process while on set.
He noted that he likes a variety of women. “What it really boils down to is that I like real sluts, or women that truly enjoy the sex,” he said. “Not the ones that just get to set like, ‘Okay, hey we’re here to get paid, let’s get through this as easy as possible.’”
This is a man who loves his job. And his dedication shows. Asked how he prepares himself for a scene, Cash gave an answer that might strike some as surprising.
“It might sound crazy to the average person or, you know, those outside looking in,” he offered, “but the first thing I do is I pray.” He explains: “Yeah, I literally pray that this is my best scene to date. I pray that the director wants to continuously work with me. I pray that the girl wants to shoot content. I pray I make my next scene my best scene, every single time.” Humility aside, Cash has an aura about him that draws you in, augmented by his authentic, down-to-Earth demeanor.
“I like to include God in everything that I do,” he added. “I don’t want to get into the industry and get so lost in it. I want to remain my normal self.”
“I’m going to pray about anything and everything, including my career,” he concluded.
Upcoming releases featuring Cash include work for Kayden Kross’ new banner MILFY, and he is also nominated for Best Male Newcomer for the 2023 Urban X Awards. Follow him on Twitter @H0llywoodCash.
