Las Vegas Novelties contract star Christi Lake will be speaking to a senior level women's studies class at University of Las Vegas (UNLV) on May 1, 2003 about pornography.
Lake will be discussing her adult career, the industry, and the business side of porn for a class held by Cheryl Radeloff called "Porn in the USA." Radeloff academic accomplishments, amongst other things include having authored papers regarding HIV/AIDS prevention in Nevada's brothels.
This will be Lake's second appearance in two months at UNLV. She recently spoke to a sociology class on the same topic.
"One of the things I had the professor do before I went to the class was to have her ask her students what their impression of a porn star was," Lake said, describing her experience with the sociology class.
"Once I had given my presentation I asked how many students had changed their mind about their first impression. Overwhelmingly, they had changed their mind and that's what I want to do. I want to educate people that the stereotype of who they think porn stars are isn't always based on fact or truth," she said.
