Playboy Prime Launches

LOS ANGELES - Playboy TV is aiming to up its appeal to the "YouTube Generation" with Playboy Prime, a new weeknight block of short-form programming.

Airing from 8 to 11 p.m. EST, "Playboy Prime" will include clips from popular Playboy TV show such as "Totally Busted," "Naked Happy Girls" and "Sexcetera," in addition to a few new endeavors. "Playboy News" is one of those, as well as "The Playboy Radio Minute," which serves up uncensored video from the Playboy Radio (Sirius 198) studio.

And then there's "Hot Babes Doing Stuff Naked," in which Playboy hotties take requests from viewers to perform various activities in the buff — ranging from house cleaning to skeet shooting to riding a mechanical bull.

In November, a new comedy series, "Canoga Park," is set to debut, following a screw-up porn producer on his quest to make the ultimate X-rated blockbuster.

"The response to the new format has been tremendous," said Playboy TV programming VP Todd Schwartz. "The new broader programming mix has struck a chord with our viewers and we believe we'll increase the overall time spent viewing Playboy TV."

Following the "Playboy Prime" block at 11 p.m., "Playboy Late Night" begins, with revolving programs including adult features, reality show "Naughty Amateur Home Videos," and some short-form productions from "Red Shoe Diaries" creator Zalman King titled "Conversations With Women I Know ... About Sex."
