Playboy Exec Resigns

CHICAGO - Playboy Enterprises executive Bob Meyers has resigned from his position, an inside source told AVN this morning.

Meyers joined Playboy in September 2006 as part of a corporate restructuring, reporting to then-CEO Christie Hefner in the newly created position of President of Media. He oversaw all of the company's publishing and entertainment operations, including pay TV and video-on-demand.

Prior to joining Playboy, Meyers was the executive VP of digital media for CBS-owned Westwood One radio. The manstream media vet previously spent nine years with NBC Universal as a top exec with CNBC and NBC Interactive, and eight years with Viacom.

Interim CEO Jerome Kern will assume Meyers' responsibilities temporarily.
