SAN FRANCISCO—Pink and White Productions announces that the next event in its "PinkLabel.TV LIVE Presents" virtual screening series will offer a special "filmmaker in focus" retrospective with award-winning erotic director Jennifer Lyon Bell. The live enent takes place Thursday, September 16, and audiences are invited to watch and join in the chat as PinkLabel.TV's creator and curator Shine Louise Houston talks with Bell while screening selections from her portfolio.
A Harvard graduate based in Amsterdam, Bell's desire to see longer and better sex scenes inspired her to found Blue Artichoke Films, under which she mixes arthouse cinema with explicit sex for both erotic fiction and documentary works that illuminate the riveting, intimate and sometimes delightfully awkward side of sex.
Projects to be featured at the screening include her 2006 erotic debut "Headshot," an intimate yet non-explicit oral sex scene inspired by Andy Warhol's 1963 film Blowjob, and "Adorn" from 2018, billed as an experimental erotic game. Excerpts from Matinée (2009), Skin.Like.Sun. (2009) and Wild Card (2020) will also be shown.
The event streams live on Thursday, September 16 at 11 a.m. PT, and a replay will be offered again at 5 p.m. PT. The event is free to members of the platform's subscription service PinkLabel+ or $7 with a Film Pass. To watch, PinkLabel+ members may simply log in and visit the LIVE page at showtime, while non-members will receive an email about two hours prior with a link to log in and access the screening page.
