PORN VALLEY, Calif. - Whether or not it contains any man-on-man 69 action has yet to be revealed, but Horat: The Sexual Learnings of America for Make Benefit Beautiful Nation of Kaksuckistan is headed for the screens of porn lovers everywhere today, marking the official coming out of startup studio Pink Lotus Entertainment.
And who better to take on the porno version of Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat character than reigning AVN Best Male Newcomer Tommy Pistol?
"We met Tommy at AVN [Adult Entertainment Expo] last year, and we were pretty much blown away by his comedy skills, not to mention just being a great sex performer, too," Horat director and Pink Lotus co-founder Vincenzo Piano related. "We had this idea in the works for a while — it's kind of the reason why we started our porn company — so meeting him was perfect."
Piano has two partners in Pink Lotus, and as he explained, "My other production partner has a mainstream feature company, and I'm a music video director, so we've always kind of wanted to try out the adult world because producing features is fun for him, and he'd love to keep doing it in this realm, and for me, it was nice to expand into a more long form style of directing. And we're both total perverts, so doing porn really fulfills that niche in our hearts."
Pink Lotus has set up a number of delivery deals with various VoD sites, satellite providers and other companies, while DVDs of its movies are currently offered exclusively through its website, www.pinklotusent.com.
"We've been having meetings with people like Adam & Eve and some other companies regarding DVD distribution," Piano said. "Right now, we're trying to figure out what's the best financial decision for us. Just because the market's changing so rapidly, being a new company, we want to make sure we do it right."
Pink Lotus' first movie The HO.C., starring former Hustler contract girl Nikki Nine, is slated to debut on DVD simultaneously with its broadcast premiere on Playboy TV later this month.
As for Horat, Piano promises some very steamy sex to accompany the hilarity. "We have one girl/girl scene between Havana Ginger and Leah Jaye," he said, "and I've watched a lot of girl/girl — this is one of the most intense girl/girl scenes I have ever seen."
Horat co-stars Nautica Thorn, Gia Paloma, Katarina Kat, Faith Leon, Delotta Brown, Kayden Faye, Alan Stafford and Daniel Unk.
For the next project in the Pink Lotus pipeline, Piano said he and his team are working on "a parody of 'Entourage' called Cuntourage. Instead of starring males as the leads, it stars females. And they obviously aren't in the Hollywood system, they're in the porn system. We're really pumped for that one, too. We kind of like this whole parody thing."
