SAN FRANCISCO—Pink and White Productions has released the milestone 400th episode of its long-running queer porn series Crash Pad, found at CrashPadSeries.com.
Based on founding director Shine Louise Houston's 2005 debut production The Crash Pad, the episodic series is now directed by Ava LaPrima and releases bi-weekly episodes showcasing original, inclusive and high-chemistry scenes depicting LGBTQ+ sexuality.
"We've shot together a long time, so this was a fun reunion," episode star Barbary Rose offers in a behind the scenes interview released with the scene. "Doing porn was a great way for me to explore my sexuality. Crash Pad was a very important part of that. Being able to represent real sex in porn is important, and different bodies and different types of sex. It's liberating. The stuff that I want to see is what I want to make."
Adds co-star Mia Little, "This is like the type of porn I want to shoot, that's really representative of where I'm at with my body. It's the type of sex that I want to have, and I feel like it's a lot more true to form and in alignment with my values and just where I want to be ... it's like a sex archive."
"I feel very special that we got to be episode number 400," Rose continues. "Crash Pad introduced me to queerness like before I even knew I was queer. And to go to Frameline's film festival recently, that Pink & White was in, and see queer porn from the '70s ... people are going to look back at our scene today and think, even through the political turmoil and what's going on globally, this feels like it was an act of resistance."
Agrees Little, "It's a time capsule. I'm so glad we made this happen! Our chemistry was electric, but also very sweet. I love making sweet smut. It felt so natural with you. I'm really, really glad that I was your scene partner today."
