Pink and White Announces CrashCourse Adult Filmmaking Workshop

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—There are a lot of people out there who, when watching an adult film, think to themselves, 'I wonder if I could make something like that?' Well, they may get that chance, since Pink and White Productions has announced the next workshop in its filmmaking series, CrashCourse: Sound Design.

Company director Shine Louise Houston designed the year-long multi-course program of weekend workshops held at San Francisco's 4th Wall Studio. Led by herself and guest instructors, the classes equip independent adult filmmakers with skills ranging from camera work to fundraising.

The next workshop, a three-hour intro course on Sound Design, will be taught on Saturday, July 7, by Sound Designer C. Daddio, who has collaborated on Houston's films such as SNAPSHOT and BIRTHDAY.

Pink and White Productions strives to provide a space for independent adult filmmakers, and to encourage more great films. Part of this mission manifests through CrashCourse, an educational program designed to equip filmmakers with free resources such as how to videos, articles, casting calls and festival submission deadlines, an international event calendar, and workshops with director Shine Louise Houston and guest instructors teaching skills from camera work to fundraising.

C. Daddio is the owner of Oakland Hi-fi DIY recording studio Donut Time Audio, and is a guitarist for the post-punk garage quartet Everyone Is Dirty. He has been active in the Bay Area art and music scene for over 20 years, having worked on numerous film projects, music recordings, and sound design. He was the Sound Designer for Shine Louise Houston’s films SNAPSHOT and BIRTHDAY.
