LOS ANGELES—Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health nonprofit, on Thursday announced Demora Avarice as its newest brand ambassador. Demora, a large bust model known for pioneering fat transfers as a viable alternative to implants, joins the organization to help promote mental health and body positivity.
Demora has cultivated huge followings on major social media platforms by presenting herself personality-first in an image-driven industry. She champions the de-stigmatization of surgical procedures as a treatment for mental health issues.
“I’ve struggled with mental health my entire life,” says Avarice. “For a long time, I didn’t realize the level my physical appearance played into my issues. I always thought plastic surgery was strictly for vanity, but after undergoing the knife I realized it can be its own form of therapy. I’m excited to be a part of the Pineapple Support team so I can help destigmatise plastic surgery in mental health and help support those in need.”
Pineapple Support was founded by performer Leya Tanit in 2018 after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501c(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 14,000 adult performers to mental health services including free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Demora Avarice to our ambassador team. Her advocacy for mental health and body positivity aligns perfectly with our mission,” says Tanit. “Demora’s unique perspective will help us reach more individuals in need of support and help de-stigmatize mental health treatment options.”
