Pineapple Support Launches Support Group for Couples

LOS ANGELES—Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health nonprofit, will host a free, online support group to help couples improve the quality of their relationship, sponsored by Chaturbate. The six-week “Partner’s Support Group” will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Alicia Graham and will begin on Tuesday, February 13th, at 2 p.m. PST.

“If you’re looking for support with your relationship, this 6-week support group for couples, and those in poly relationships, is for you,” says Pineapple Support therapist Alicia Graham. “We will offer an open and accepting space to learn research-based strategies to improve the quality of your relationship, receive therapeutic support and interventions, and connect with others in relationships.”

Pineapple Support was founded by performer Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 12,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.

“Relationships can be difficult to navigate, but there are tools that can be used to improve the quality of our relationships, leading to greater happiness and wellbeing,” says Tanit. “This group is open to folks in all relationship styles including LGBTQ2S+ relationships, and non-monogamous relationships. I’m so grateful to  Chaturbate for help making this happen.”

Sessions will last for around one hour and will take place online each Tuesday at the same time, until March 19th. Please note that all sessions must be attended by both (or all) members of the relationship, and a 10-minute consultation call is required before the start of the group.
