LOS ANGELES—Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health nonprofit, on Tuesday announced it is expanding its Corporate Training Initiative with a new series, “Conflict Management and Mental Health First Aid.” This series of four sessions, which will be led by licensed Pineapple Support therapist Nicki Line, will start on Wednesday, October 2nd.
“These sessions are designed to equip participants with the essential skills to navigate workplace conflicts and provide mental health first aid,” says Line. “They are critical for creating a supportive and mentally healthy workplace environment. The ability to recognize a crisis and effectively manage conflicts is key to ensuring the well-being of both employees and the overall company.”
The sessions will take place on the following dates:
*Oct. 2nd, at 2 p.m. EST: How to identify an employee in crisis
*Oct. 16th, at 2 p.m. EST: Making a mental health action plan
*Nov. 6th, at 2 p.m. EST: Distress tolerance skills for the workplace
*Nov. 20th, at 2 p.m. EST: Conflict management in the workplace
Pineapple Support was founded by performer Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 14,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.
“Our training series helps companies better support their employees' mental health,” Tanit says. “By equipping employees and executives with the tools to handle mental health crises and workplace conflicts, businesses help to create healthier, more productive work environments.”
Sessions within Pineapple Support’s Corporate Training Initiative are exclusively available to employees of companies that sponsor Pineapple Support. Interactive training sessions take place every two months and are available to rewatch on a password-protected website.
