LOS ANGELES — Former adult performer Riley Evans passed away this morning in Florida after a long battle with breast cancer, veteran star Danny Mountain told AVN Wednesday night. She was 32.
Mountain, a 15-year industry vet who had stayed in contact with Evans even though she had not been active in adult for more than three years, said he received the sad news from Evans’ younger brother today.
“She called me at the beginning of last year to tell me that she had breast cancer,” Mountain said. “So she had obviously known about it for a little while and she had been fighting it. She had been getting treatment in Florida.”
He said Evans found out her cancer had spread in December and she recently had been hospitalized.
“I was in Florida last week and a friend a mine picked me up and we were close by the hospital, but she didn’t want to see me—it was her choice,” Mountain said. “She was close to the end and she didn’t want me to see her. She was a beautiful woman inside and out—a beautiful soul—and she will be missed by a lot of people.”
Mountain added that her brother assured him that “she wasn’t in pain the last few hours” while in hospice care.
A native of Zephyrhills, Fla., who debuted in adult in 2005, Evans amassed more than 380 performing credits, according to IAFD, including multiple appearances for Brazzers, Evil Angel, Jules Jordan Video, Hustler Video, Elegant Angel and Naughty America, among scores of other studios.
Mountain said he lived with Evans for about four months in 2010 when he needed a place to stay.
“She was awesome. She was there for me,” Mountain said. “I had pneumonia during that time and she helped me.”
