NEW YORK—Make no mistake about it, Ryan Keely wants to be the Tony Robbins of porn by empowering people to take control of their sex lives. The October 2009 Penthouse Pet created the Porn Star Sex Life workshop to achieve this goal.
“I’ve always loved to talk to people about sex,” Keely told AVN. “My greatest gift is to talk about sexuality. My goal with Porn Star Sex Life is to be educational and inspirational.”
The all-day workshop takes place July 10 in New York. Keely has enlisted two of her fellow Penthouse Pets to help her with the demonstration element of the day: Justine Joli and Jade Vixen.
The workshop covers everything from pick-up tips, to dating, to sexual techniques and positions, to how to pick up stippers and threesome etiquette.
Keely brings an impressive and varied list of credentials to bear. She worked in Hustler Hollywood’s San Diego, Calif. store, as a buyer for two adult companies, hosted radio programs for KSEXRadio.com and Playboy Radio, and is one of the most in-demand and popular girl/girl adult performers.
Keely’s idea to create Porn Star Sex Life came out of her association with UpYourAttraction.com, a pick-up artist community.
Though the workshop is primarily focused on males, Keely encourages females and couples to attend as well “because everyone wants to know how men think.”
“I want to take everything I’ve learned and give guys a basic toolbox to improve their sex lives. Let’s take out the confusion and all these crazy techniques and keep it simple,” Keely said. “You’re not going to learn the Kama Sutra here; but you will learn the four variations of the missionary position in order to make your girl have a great orgasm. It’s about immediate ROI.”
Keely cites Dan Savage’s Savage Love column and writer and director Tristan Taormino as big influences in her own sexual journey. Taormino is contributing an item in the Porn Star Sex Life gift bag.
Savage’s philosophy in particular—GGG—good, giving and game—made Keely comfortable enough to explore her own sexuality.
“You need to be good to your sexual partners; you need to be giving for their pleasure; and you need to be game to try things you weren’t necessarily down for,” Keely said. “Those are the three rules all people should live their sex lives by.”
Now while any guy might be capable of having a successful one-night stand, Keely wants to turn those encounters into return customers.
“One of the keys to a great sex life is to have repeat business,” Keely said. “That means when you fuck a girl, you have to fuck her right.
