BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.—AVN Hall of Fame director Paul Thomas has entered into a six-picture distribution deal with Larry Flynt’s LFP Video.
“Paul Thomas has a unique approach to each movie he creates,” LFP President Michael Klein said. “His cutting-edge style and high quality of filmmaking is why we are excited to be distributing his movies through LFP Video.”
Thomas is the most decorated director in adult film history. He’s won the AVN Award for Best Film or Best Director 12 times, a remarkable five each in the past decade alone.
Thomas was exclusively with Vivid Entertainment for more than 25 years—a relationship that endured until last fall.
“We are happy to announce our partnership with actor, director and producer Paul Thomas—a pioneer in the adult industry,” Larry Flynt said. “We are confident that together we will produce quality films in keeping with the Hustler brand.”
Under the terms of the deal, Thomas will retain full creative control over his work.
“For the first time in my long career I am my own boss,” Thomas said. “I am free to mine the dark recesses of my soul and create the finest line of sophisticated yet truly erotic films on the market. Larry and I have known and respected one another for many years. It makes me very proud to be a part of the Hustler team.”
Thomas’ first project through LFP is slated for release on Sept. 1.
Thomas also is in the XRCO Hall of Fame as well as the Legends of Erotica Hall of Fame.
