Pamela Anderson-Tommy Lee Sex Tape at the Heart of Hulu Series

LOS ANGELES—Pamela Anderson’s infamous sex tape with rocker Tommy Lee is now at the heart of a proposed limited series coming to Hulu.

According to a story that ran in Deadline.com on Tuesday, Lily James (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) and Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) are set to play the former Baywatch star and Mötley Crüe drummer in the new series dubbed Pam & Tommy.

The series will focus on the couple’s relationship, including the scandal of when their sex tape from their honeymoon was stolen and was released by Vivid Video in 1998. Seth Rogen will reportedly produce the series with partner Evan Goldberg and play the man who stole the tape, while director Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya) helm the series from a Rob Siegel script.  Rogen’s Point Grey company will produce along with Dylan Sellers of Limelight, with Dave Franco and Sue Naegle and Megan Ellison at Annapurna also producing. The eight-episode series is scheduled to begin shooting in the spring.

Anderson and Lee are not involved in Pam & Tommy though Deadline reports that insiders say the two have been aware of the project since it went into development earlier this year.
