MONTREAL—Last year, acclaimed director Mason brought her singularly stylistic touch to the booming interracial arena with the launch of Hard X/Erotica X offshoot Dark X under the O.L. Entertainment umbrella, and in 2017 she plans to do the same for the perennially popular sphere of all-girl hardcore with the company's latest imprint—what else?—Lesbian X.
In development for about six months, Lesbian X will mark a return for Mason to a beloved genre upon which she hasn't focused since before she was recruited to helm the creation of O.L. Entertainment's initial two labels in 2013. "Lesbian X is something I have wanted to do since I left Elegant Angel," Mason told AVN. "I loved what we were doing with Club 59, and I have yearned to capture similar g/g experiences. There seems to have been a market/fan demand since I stopped shooting those movies (which I'm still stunned by), and it's awesome to be back at it."
The AVN Award-festooned directrix said the types of movies fans can expect from Lesbian X will be "diverse, both visually and sexually. There are a multitude of ways to celebrate women, from the big booty, blue sky, sunlit type teases to the more intimate bedroom encounters. Women are diverse, female sexual expression is diverse, and as long as we are true to the individual girl, we will be celebrating that here."
Asked what she feels makes for a great girl/girl scene, Mason said that it's really no different from any other type she shoots. "For me it is all about authenticity, and that will never change, no matter the genre," she explained. "You can have the most perfectly styled girl deliver the most wooden performance, and for me, that is a deal killer. External beauty is easy. What's inside is where true beauty resides."
Expanding on that, she said that her overall vision with Lesbian X is for "the girls to be shown in the most positive light having the best sexual experiences of their life, and that's all I'm focused on. I understand this is a specific genre, but in the end my mission is to simply celebrate sex and female pleasure, and I'm so excited to be a part of this."
The first Lesbian X DVD is slated to release through O.L. Entertainment in late March or early April, with the launch of official website LesbianX.com to follow soon thereafter.
