CLEARWATER, Fla.—ED Publications is once again ready to celebrate the best of the best in the multi-billion-dollar adult nightclub industry with its 21st Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show — the ED's Awards.
The ED’s Awards take place during the industry's annual national gathering for the Gentlemen's Club Expo. The 2018 ED's Awards Show, featuring top comedian Jessimae Peluso, will take place 9-11 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at The Joint Theater inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
The Final Ballot for the 2018 ED Awards launched for voting at TheEDawards.com on Monday, June 25, and will be live until July 10.
Among the voting categories, the most prestigious category is the Overall Gentlemen’s Club of the Year Award. This year, 10 clubs across the U.S. count themselves among the very best in the industry. They are (in alphabetical order): Blush in Pittsburgh; Bucks Wild in Dallas; E11EVEN in Miami; Gold Club in Charlotte, N.C.; Hustler Club in Las Vegas; Penthouse Club in New Orleans; Pony Club in Huntsville, Ala.; Sapphire in New York City; Spearmint Rhino in Dallas; and Tootsie’s Cabaret in North Miami, Fla.
There are eight regional club awards, presented in two categories: Club of the Year and Small Club of the Year (which notes clubs that are under 5,000 square feet or are located in smaller cities/markets). There are four regions: East, South, Central and West. Other club award categories include Feature Club of the Year (for clubs that book feature entertainers regularly); International Club of the Year (for clubs outside of the U.S.); Urban Club of the Year (a national award for the top urban club) and the Club Chain of the Year Award for the nation's top adult club chain (“chain” is designated as six or more clubs).
Among the voting categories, the most prestigious award for touring feature entertainers is the Overall Entertainer of the Year Award. Three entertainers are nominated for this award; two are chosen from the Annual EDI (Exotic Dancer Invitational) Contests, the third is chosen as a wild card nominee. The three Entertainer of the Year nominees for 2017 are Natasha Nova, Simone Danalustrous and Bellzora.
Other feature entertainer award categories include Newcomer Entertainer of the Year, Club Favorite Entertainer of the Year, Adult Movie Entertainer of the Year, International Showgirl of the Year and Miss ExoticDancer.com.
