Netflix to Debut 'Supersex', Inspired by Rocco Siffredi, in March

LOS ANGELES—Netflix on Friday announced that Supersex, a seven-episode series inspired by the life of AVN Hall of Fame superstar Rocco Siffredi, will debut on March 6, 2024.

Created and written by Francesca Manieri, the series is being produced by Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment, a company of the Fremantle group, and by Matteo Rovere for Groenlandia, part of Banijay group.

Directed by Matteo Rovere, Francesco Carrozzini and Francesca Mazzoleni, Supersex is inspired by the legendary true story of Rocco Siffredi—his family, his origins and his relationship with love.

The filmmakers call it "a profound story that goes through his life since childhood and reveals how and when Rocco Tano—a simple guy from Ortona—became Rocco Siffredi, the most famous porn star in the world."

Alessandro Borghi plays the role of Rocco while Jasmine Trinca plays Lucia, a fictional female character who represents a synthesis of most women with whom Rocco had a relationship in his life. Adriano Giannini is Tommaso, Rocco’s half-brother, while Saul Nanni plays Rocco as a young man. Other cast members incluce Enrico Borello (Gabriele), Vincenzo Nemolato (Riccardo Schicchi), Gaia Messerklinger (Moana), Jade Pedri (Sylvie) and Linda Caridi (Tina).

Principal photography on the first season began in September 2022 and continued earlier this year.

Siffredi, who remains a prolific producer, director and performer based in Budapest, Hungary, told AVN the series not only explores his upbringing, but also his start in porn in the mid-80s and when he met his future wife in 1994.
