Nectar Entertainment spent more on the new title sequence for their faux-reality series Welcome to the Valley than most companies spend on a single production.
Approximately $20,000 was spent on creating a CGI introduction that will appear at the beginning of each new installment of the Welcome to the Valley series.
The CGI introduction is a 3D animated version of a street in the Valley, with the names and photos of featured performers appearing on benches and posters on the street. The titling sequence will be used for the duration of the series.
The work was outsourced to a company that specializes in CGI, with Nectar’s editor Eric Avalon and their new director Johnny D overseeing the process.
The new titling sequence will first be used in Welcome to the Valley 2, which streets on October 25.
A softcore trailer of the title is available for Web retailers. Nectar is willing to provide the trailer via ftp, or by burning it onto a DVD and shipping it to the Web retailer, or by allowing the retailer to deep link to the trailer.
Nectar Entertainment’s CEO Sean Logan stated that trailers tend to have a positive impact on sales. “It allows the end consumer a way to taste the product —it’s the same reason why trailers work for mainstream Hollywood,” Logan said.
Web retailers interested obtaining the trailer for use on their own site should contact [email protected] for more information.
