Nectar Entertainment has announced the launch of Kaos, a new hardcore line that will be competing for the raincoater consumer.
Whereas Nectar is marketed to couples, Kaos is pretty much the opposite.
“Kaos will be where we unleash our dark side and create filthy smut, rather than adult entertainment,” Sean Logan, CEO of Nectar, said.
Nectar has tapped Skeeter Kerkove to direct the first Kaos title. Logan says that Kaos will differentiate itself from other gonzo and wall-to-wall lines by enforcing the same quality control that helped the company earn 10 AVN Award nominations in 2005.
“People should always associate our name with quality. It can be found in our flagship line, the Marty Zion movies, where fans can find hardcore sex scenes that are shot with an artistic vision,” Logan said, “and it will be found in Kaos line. Of course, we realize ‘quality’ means one thing to our Zion fans, and will mean something entirely different to our Kaos fans – but we intend to keep both groups happy by giving them what they want. That’s really all the quality control you need.”
Noting that hardcore gonzo and wall-to-wall videos dominate the market, Logan will start Kaos with one release a month, but he intends to ramp that number up by the end of the year.
“We intend to develop a number of niche-driven series,” Logan said. “We have Skeeter Kerkove directing our first title, and naturally, it will be an anal series with an emphasis on fresh faces and youth.
“Or as Skeeter described it: ‘Young girls getting blasted in the ass.’”
Kaos will release its first title in April.
