NakedSword.com will be the first video-on-demand site to offer Michael Lucas’ Dangerous Liaisons, launching a new “Premiere Series” of exclusive and high-profile VoD releases.
The site’s Premiere Series will feature newly released movies from top studios, with many limited-time VoD releases scheduled to coincide with the film’s DVD debut.
“We wanted to increase the online visibility of our top studios,” says Tim Valenti, president of NakedSword.com. “The films we’ve chosen for the Premiere Series have extensive supporting content that allow us to promote them more aggressively than we could a standard title. We want to “event-ize” online distribution.”
The Premiere Series emerged after a one-time promotion of five scenes from Falcon Studios’ two-part fall release Cross Country proved successful in September. Extensive behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive interviews, cast photo galleries, and other supporting content helped get the attention of VoD users at the same time as the DVD hit stores.
“Other VoD providers can’t match our ability to promote movies online,” says Valenti. “With each of these films, we’ve built multifaceted mini-sites within the NakedSword site that not only promote the particular movie, but also upcoming releases from that studio. Our ability to brand a studio – and capture the attention of the VOD audience – is unrivaled.”
Dangerous Liaisons will premiere Nov. 22 in anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday. Future films in the Premiere Series include Buckshot Studio’s Beyond Perfect, Raging Stallion’s Arabesque, and Wet Palms, NakedSword’s award-winning co-production with Jet Set.
