NEW YORK – A man who was reported to have suffered brain damage after a near fatal escapade in a New York City bondage club is now recovering from his experience, says the New York Daily News.
Apparently the man, originally identified as only "Roger," appears to have a normally functioning brain. Or at least as normal as it was before he nearly died of extreme asphyxia, trussed up and hanging in a dungeon while wearing women's undergarments, high-heels, a dog collar and nipple clamps.
The 64-year-old, whose name is being withheld by the Daily News, was identified only as a retired math teacher from Quebec.
According to the report, the man's wife was unaware of his activities.
"I thought New York was safe," she told the Daily News. She also said that when she was notified about her husband's accident, she was initially told that he had been found unconscious on a city street and not tied up like an S&M Christmas turkey at the Nutcracker Suite bondage club.
Doctors removed the victim's breathing tube on Monday and found he was responsive, according to the Daily News. When questioned about his accident, the retired teacher said he didn't remember anything.
