CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Metro’s best-selling release from a year ago, Very Very Bad Santa, is getting the holiday treatment as it rolls out along with several other hit Ron Jeremy titles as part of one of two newly-released Christmas three-pack box sets.
“The holiday market has traditionally been good for the home video market, but its very hard to make any assumptions about trends,” said Christian Mann, Metro’s vice president, whose company received 26 AVN Award nominations.
“Very Very Bad Santa, was a huge seller for Metro so it made sense for us to bring it back as part of this box set. It’s a perennial Christmas release.”
The box set includes Santa, with Jeremy and Melissa Lauren; along with the Jeremy titles All I Want for Christmas is a Gang Bang, starring Kerri Downs, along with Gangbang Under the Mistletoe, with Jenny Lee McKenzie.
The second box set includes three Video Team best-selling black-themed compilation titles, Dreaming of a Black XXXmas (Once You Go Black…57), Chestnut (Overtime 188), Naughty is Nice ( Afrocentrix 148).
“These are Video Team’s best selling ethnic comps so its 12 hours of non stop ethnic porn, making it a great box set,” Mann said.
“The best part is that each package set is available at a reduced sell-through distributor price that’s basically the price of one DVD, except that it’s for three.”
The titles, Mann said, give retailers a chance to have package suitable as holiday display.
“We kept hearing from our customers that they wanted something to display for the holidays so we came up with this.”
Meanwhile, Metro’s Video Team label has released I Wanna Ayana, featuring Ayana Angel and Jada Fire.
