Mercenary Pictures will release its first all-black title, Ebony XXX, this week.
Domina X, who directed Mercenary's Black Reign, which was AVN's Best Ethnic-Themed Series for 2005, also helmed Ebony XXX. She also performs under the name Vanessa Blue.
Mercenary's first all-black release stars Lori Alexia, Ms. Panther, Jenna Brooks, Pink, Aliyah, Jemini and Melodee Bliss, along with.R. Langdon, Jean Baptiste and Mercenary owner and three-time AVN Male Performer of the Year, Lexington Steele.
"I've always looked for ways to bring the same kind of attention to black women, in terms of production value and the attention to detail in my movies, as their white counterparts," Domina said. "I can't count how many titles I've appeared in that was 'ghetto-this' or 'booty-that.' With Ebony XXX it's been my mission to showcase these black women with black men in terms of their own beauty and sexual performances, on equal footing with any other gonzo performer."
Steele said that Domina's vision for adult entertainment fills a niche that until now, has gone unfilled.
"Domina's very interested in showcasing strong-willed, women of color who enjoy sex on their own terms," he said. "Whether it's volumes two to four of Black Reign, which she directed, or Ebony XXX, Domina's not interested in shooting women who roll over for whatever the guy wants. There's a substantial market of men that aren't intimidated by strong females and women who are looking for the kind of adult entertainment Domina shoots, which matches their own preferences in the bedroom."
