LOS ANGELES—What better way to tell the story of Adult Time in its first five years than through the voices of its team of brand ambassadors.
Adult Time Chief Creative Officer Bree Mills summoned all nine of them for a special photoshoot for the August cover of AVN magazine that was lensed by Stella Smut.
Mills conceived the cover concept for the “Adult Time dorm room”—featuring herself as “the ultimate porn nerd”—and each ambassador as “the living embodiment of their brand.”
And Smut delivered images that captured the diversity and depth of this 2024 adult entertainment Dream Team.
“I wanted to approach the production in the same way that pro sports organizations hold ‘media days’ with their teams,” Mills tells AVN. “We gathered everyone together and used the day to produce a variety of branded assets that both we and the ambassadors will use throughout the year, in addition to a special photoshoot.
“While most of the branded assets were Adult Time branded, I wanted this cover and feature spread in AVN to represent each ambassador’s unique style and the idea that our team is an eclectic collection of everyone’s individual brands.
“… It was incredibly fun to put together, and kudos to Stella Smut, our photographer, for working her magic to get all of us to fit within the frame!”
The all-star lineup features Seth Gamble, Lexi Luna, Leana Lovings, Casey Calvert, Siri Dahl, Isiah Maxwell, Tommy Pistol, Emma Rose and Lauren Phillips.
And while they all have overcome different challenges on their paths to the August cover shoot, they each have one thing in common: they believe in Adult Time’s mission.
“To represent as an Adult Time ambassador in this time is a privilege and I’m honored to be one of this amazing team of ambassadors,” Gamble says. “I’m so grateful for all the amazing projects I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of these last five years and excited for the continued future.”
Gamble, who is the 2023 AVN Male Performer of the Year and four-time Best Leading Actor winner, tells AVN what he most enjoys about working with Adult Time is “how willing everyone is to take risks and be creative.”
He joined the ambassador ranks in April, extending his existing ties with AT parent company Gamma Entertainment, with whom he has had an output deal as a brand representative, producer and director since 2021.
“My most memorable project to date for Adult Time currently still is Perspective for Bree Mills,” says Gamble, who won Best Leading Actor for his role in the 2019 thriller. “Myself, the cast and crew threw everything we had into it and I feel we really made something extraordinary.”
Lexi Luna tells AVN that representing AT as a brand ambassador means the world to her.
“To me, it means I’ve made it,” Luna says. “Adult Time chose me to represent them after assessing my on-set behavior and my social media presence. That’s quite an honor and validation that my effort to build my brand has been successful.”
Lexi pointed to the strength of her partnership with the studio that brought her into the fold in January.
“My input is truly valued and acted upon,” she says. “I’ve never had such an even business relationship and it’s wonderful.”
Luna reveals her favorite Adult Time project so far was her ultimate fantasy scene with John Strong.
“Adult Time nurtured and brought my vision to life and I got to act out my dream scenario,” Lexi adds. “Nothing could be better.”
The versatile performer/director Casey Calvert, whose latest feature Spun released in July, tells AVN that “everything about working with Adult Time is always fantastic.”
“They really go out of their way to make sure talent is taken care of, from the moment of booking until after the shoot,” Calvert says. “Working with AT—as a performer—I get to do such a wide variety of scenes, it’s never the same. And as a director, I’m really given the freedom to explore, collaborate, and play.”
Calvert wrote and directed Spun, which is the first Girlsway feature since 2020 and stars reigning AVN Best New Starlet Chanel Camryn. The Y2K-inspired project is easily one of Calvert’s favorites, though “it’s so hard to say, there have been so many!”
Casey tried to narrow down to her Top 3 Adult Time ventures so far, in no particular order.
“It’s Cougar Queen, the absurd parody I directed during COVID for Girlsway, where I learned so much about directing,” Calvert says, adding that she loved Spun “for all the aesthetic tone I got to create.”
“And Birth, the Bree Mills’ feature I had the honor of starring in that we filmed earlier this year, which was maybe the most intense acting challenge of my career, and so worth every moment of it.”
Calvert adds, “I’m so honored to be an Adult Time ambassador. It’s great to represent a brand you really stand behind, and to be a face of a company at the forefront of mainstream adult. I’m a huge fan of Adult Time, and have had a long history with them. Becoming an ambassador feels like ‘making it official.’”
One of the original AT ambassadors, Siri Dahl, is in the midst of her third year as a face of the brand.
Siri tells AVN her most memorable project so far was the “My First Futa” scene she performed with Codi Vore.
“I’ll never forget the exhilaration I felt from having a 12-inch prosthetic (and functional!) penis attached to my body for one glorious day!” Dahl says. “Codi and I couldn’t stop laughing. We had tons of fun sword fighting with our comically large dicks, and of course we also had amazing sex!”
Dahl continues, “Another highlight for me is the recently released ‘The Bottom Floor.’ Everything about the shoot was so well executed. Michael Vegas and Siouxsie Q absolutely nailed it. I could go on about how much I love that project forever, but I really feel like people just need to watch it. It’s a vibe.”
Siri points to the “collaborative environment” she experiences on Adult Time sets, adding that she loves having so many opportunities to explore her ideas and evolve with the studio.
“It’s been amazing to watch the Adult Time brand grow and continually bring new, original concepts to life,” Dahl continues. “I’m excited to be a part of it all, and I’m looking forward to five more years (and beyond!) of groundbreaking adult entertainment.”
Lauren Phillips first signed a brand ambassadorship and non-exclusive output deal in September 2022, making her one of AT’s original talent partners along with Siri.
Mills at the time indicated that Phillips had been a fan favorite on AT for many years and her dedication to “doing porn differently” compelled them to take their relationship to the next level. Now as Phillips reflects on her alignment with the brand during its five-year anniversary season, she tells AVN, “I am incredibly honored and thrilled to represent Adult Time as a brand ambassador during this momentous occasion.”
“As an established leader in the industry for over five years, Adult Time has continuously pushed boundaries and set new standards for adult entertainment,” Phillips continues. “I am excited to be a part of this dynamic and innovative team, and I look forward to promoting the brand’s values and vision to a wider audience.
“It is a privilege to be associated with a company that is dedicated to providing high-quality content and creating a safe and inclusive space for all adult enthusiasts. I am proud to represent Adult Time and help shape the future of the industry.”
Philips says working with Adult Time both inspires and motivates her.
“I am motivated by the opportunity to represent a brand that values creativity, innovation, and diversity,” Lauren explains. “Working with Adult Time allows me to be a part of something bigger than myself and contribute to the advancement of the adult industry. I am grateful for the chance to work with such a dynamic and forward-thinking team, and I look forward to continuing to be a part of Adult Time’s success story.”
The seasoned star cherishes her role in Adult Time’s AVN Award-winning Switch series.
“This series stands out to me as it not only showcases high-quality content but also promotes women empowerment and inclusivity in the adult industry,” Phillips says. “The Switch series has been a project that challenges traditional stereotypes of women and BDSM. Women can be dominant and submissive when they choose to be.”
The reigning, two-time AVN Trans Performer of the Year Emma Rose has amassed over 30 credits for the Adult Time platform en route to her brand ambassador deal that became official in March.
“Representing Adult Time as a brand ambassador is incredibly meaningful to me,” Rose tells AVN. “For the trans community, representation is vital.
“Ambassadorship allows me to make a significant impact and inspire other performers—whether trans or not—to effect positive change. Adult Time’s commitment to inclusivity has always been at its core, and I am deeply honored to celebrate their fifth anniversary.”
Emma says she values Adult Time’s “unwavering commitment to inclusivity and creativity.”
“They continuously explore untapped stories and ensure that every voice is heard,” Rose continues. “On set, I always feel respected and valued, regardless of who I’m working with, which makes for a truly rewarding experience.”
Speaking of being on set, Emma reveals that Muses has been one of her most memorable projects so far because she had complete creative direction.
“I love the versatility in my scenes, and working with April Olsen in a flip scene was an unforgettable experience,” Rose recalls. “Another project was my recent scene ‘Swapping Panties’ with Octavia Red; its sapphic intensity makes it one of my top five favorite scenes where we couldn’t keep our hands off of each other.”
The reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year Isiah Maxwell tells AVN he appreciates the opportunity to grow both as a performer and as a person with Adult Time.
“I enjoy working with all of Adult Time’s crews, including many that I’ve known for years,” says Maxwell, who recently got to create a pilot for his own original Adult Time series called Heart Beats that he co-wrote with Mills and directed with the Monster Mouth crew. “I really enjoyed filming a project I created.”
Meanwhile, the fast-rising star Leana Lovings became an ambassador in December 2023.
The multi-talented star already has completed shooting Intimately POV, a project that she holds “close to my heart.”
“And it’s memorable for the celebration of my directorial debut under the guidance of Bree Mills and being able to experiment with how to bring people’s fantasies to life,” Leana says. “There has been learning in abundance, and it’s exciting to see what will come next for Intimately POV.”
Loving continues, “Out of both reverence and (playful) dread, I also have to mention Birth! This is one of Bree’s personal projects that lasted two weeks of filming. It was a labor of love for Bree and everyone in it and I’m humbled to have had a part to play alongside Seth Gamble and Casey Calvert.
“I never would have thought of blending psychological horror with porn but it is so wonderfully terrifying. I will never forget seeing the special effects work done for Casey’s pregnancy belly, or the way her ‘water broke’ as she caught my character in the throes of passion with her husband.”
Lovings tells AVN she loves walking onto set “and feeling like everyone wants to be there.”
“You can see how we are all deeply passionate about our work,” Leana adds. “The amount of care from the crew will always be felt by the performers that act under their set design, their lighting, their script guidelines. Every Adult Time crew I’ve worked with is so fluid, and Adult Time as a whole makes sure that performers feel safe. All of these things make up what I love, because it’s reinforced by each person within the brand.”
She says being part of Adult Time at such an important moment in the company’s history is special. “No matter what year it was in Adult Time’s growth, I think that I would have always found myself representing them, but I’m happy to celebrate with Adult Time as it basks in its astounding growth,” Leana continues. “Five years built with an audience that confirms just how far you can go with your creativity is a wonderful achievement. They are an inspiration to me.”
The incomparable Tommy Pistol concurs.
One of the finest actors of his generation, the multiple AVN Award-winning leading man says he enjoys the diversity of his opportunities with the company.
“All the different crews I work with always give off a different vibe that I enjoy being around,” Pistol tells AVN. “They’re always professional while still enjoying what we’re here to do.”
He continues, “I’m really proud to be representing a powerhouse studio like Adult Time. They’ve been only kind to me and it’s my time to give that gratitude back.”
The prolific stud excels across all genres—he’s become as close to a sure thing as there is in porn. Even still, he says it’s difficult for him to choose one project that stands out more than all the rest when it comes to his Adult Time credits.
“I’ve done so much for them in such a short time,” Tommy says. “So many scenes I’ve poured my heart into just to get the right emotion out for the character. Grinders by Ricky Greenwood was definitely a special one for me. Playing that character was a fun challenge.”
Mills tells AVN her vision for the ambassador program was to build a core group of talent that “exemplifies success, professionalism, and hard work within the industry, bringing their unique experiences to benefit the entire team.”
“And that’s exactly what I aimed for—a true team,” Bree explains. “Someone once joked that our A team is like The Avengers, and it’s true. Each member is a superhero in their own right, and together, they form an absolute powerhouse.
“What I’m most proud of is that this group is incredibly accomplished; each has forged their own path to become influential figures and deeply care about the future of our industry. No two ambassadors are alike, and it’s this diversity that makes the team so remarkable. They provide varied representation, talents, and perspectives, helping us achieve our mission.”
Mills is quick to note that being an ambassador is “not a contract or an obligation.”
It is also not an exclusive arrangement, rather it’s built “purely as a mutually beneficial relationship we hold with each individual we invite to be part of the team.”
“This truly is a program where you get out as much as you are willing to put in and, as such, we’re pretty selective,” Bree adds.
Given that philosophy, Mills looks for the following qualities when evaluating a potential brand ambassador:
“Independent success—both within our platform and the industry,” she explains. “Is this individual a self-starter who, regardless of the path, has worked hard to build a successful brand that resonates with audiences?”
Her second criteria is “respect and professionalism.”
“Have they earned the respect of their co-stars, colleagues, and our team with their work ethic, professionalism, and passion?” Mills asks. “Do they show up on time, answer their emails promptly, and set a high standard in every situation?”
Then Mills wants to see “shared values and enthusiasm.”
“Do they share the same values as Adult Time in terms of doing adult entertainment differently and elevating our industry?” Bree continues. “Are they proud of their work with us and willing to promote it when new scenes or initiatives are released? Do their fans feel a similar enthusiasm for watching their work on our platform?”
Lastly, Mills looks for “a sense of purpose” in her brand ambassadors.
“Is there something they aim to achieve within the industry, from developing their careers to giving back to future generations, and is there a way Adult Time can help them in this pursuit?” she adds.
With this group of nine stellar individuals, the answer to all of these questions is a resounding “yes.”
