Marco Pallotti to Exhibit Work at Erotic Heritage Museum In Vegas

LOS ANGELES—Long-time adult industry photographer and director Marco Pallotti will have an exhibition of his photographs, many taken of adult stars in sexual embrace, opening at the Erotic Heritage Museum on Friday, May 10. The exhibition of over 20 black & white images is titled Kinetic Stills, and runs through June 30. Adult industry talent featured in the photographs includes Cherie DeVille, Chloe Scott, Dolly Leigh, Kate England, Kira Noir, Lisey Sweet, Penelope Reed, Sheena Ryder, Sean Michaels, and Nat Turnher.

Created over a period of about eighteen months, the images are multiple exposures of couples in sexual positions, and were all shot on film. Pallotti said, "In 2017, after a camera malfunctioned, I accidentally shot some double exposure nudes, and really liked the way they looked. I'd experimented with the effect when in my early 20s, after seeing Duane Michals' work, and the multiple exposures add a sense of motion to the images; hence the title of the show, Kinetic Stills."

Pallotti processed the film and made the majority of prints in his home darkroom.

"In 2013, I interned with a master black & white printer for a year, and learned the craft of fine black & white printing in detail, he explained. "It was a wonderful experience, and I was able to use the knowledge I gained to put together this photographic series."

Marco Pallotti was born in London, England, and moved to the United States in 1981. He began taking photographs at the age of 7, and built his first darkroom while in his teens. Over the years, as he worked in a variety of occupations, he continued to make photographs and silver gelatin prints, and became a full-time photographer in 2002. He now lives in Los Angeles and explores a variety of photographic genres, using both analog and digital technologies.

An artist's statement and online catalog of the photographs is available on the photographer's website marcopallotti.com. Further information is available from the Erotic Heritage Museum, which is located at 3275 S. Sammy Davis Jr. Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89109; phone (702) 794-4000.
