HOLLYWOOD — Saturday night's episode of Fox sketch comedy show "Mad TV" included three faux "clips" from the AVN Adult Movie Awards.
Staged (accurately) as moments from the 26th annual AVNs, the clips (less accurately) featured presentations of awards including "Best Actor in an Alternative Fetish Film," "Best Use of an Inanimate Object" and "Hottest Butt Play."
The AVN Award itself was (even less accurately) fashioned as a golden upper arm with the hand poised in what would appear to be a jerk-off clench.
This wasn't the first time the AVN Awards have served as the target of a nationally broadcast sketch show. Rumors circulated about two years ago that a similar bit was going to appear on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" — while that never materialized, "SNL" did include an actual AVN Award trophy as arguably the funniest prop in a skit last season about former Vice President Al Gore.
