LFP Video has named David Schlesinger, former director of licensing with Vivid Entertainment Group, the director of marketing.
Schlesinger, who helped launch the Vivid nightclub in the Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and also built the company’s Web presence as vice president and director of new media, is returning to the industry after a one-year hiatus. He will be responsible for marketing both Hustler and VCA titles.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity Mr. Flynt has provided me here," Schlesinger said. "I'm very confident I can take what is known as one of the biggest brands and take it to the next level."
Schlesinger, who has also worked with Arista Records and Mantra Films, will be working with David Diamond, director of sales, and Drew Rosenfeld, creative director on new projects and strategies for Hustler and VCA.
“The biggest thing David brings is his knowledge of the industry and the fact that he knows how to market an adult brand,” said Jeff Hawkins, senior vice president of LFP Video. “He’s been at a big brand before. We’re a major brand and I’m extremely excited that he’s here to help us elevate the Hustler brand to a new level.”
What exactly Schlesinger has up his sleeve is mostly under wraps at this point, but he promises big things.
“We have a lot of big projects that are about ready to pop," he said. "I’m going to use all of the relationships I’ve garnered over the years. We have some fantastic new contract girls – a couple that have been announced already and a couple that are about to make their way to the press and the industry. We’re incredibly excited to take those girls and do what this brand can do with an adult star."
Hustler’s current roster of contract stars is made up of Memphis Monroe and Mya Luanna. The company is planning to announce a new addition within the next 48 hours. The new star will perform and direct for LFP and the company will also distribute her current video line, Hawkins said.
LFP will also begin shooting what Hawkins calls “probably the biggest-budget film [we] have gotten involved in” next week. The feature, Aphrodisiac, stars Monroe and will be shot by Jerome Tanner.
