Kitten Natividad \nVAN NUYS - Adult film star Kitten Natividad underwent a successful double mastectomy Tuesday night.
"I just got off the phone with her Tuesday afternoon," says Mondo Video owner Rob Schaffner to Gene Ross. "She's fine; everything went good. They did another check to make sure the cancer had not spread. It didn't."
Prior to the surgery, Natividad's doctors performed full body scans and found her cancer-free except for her breasts, Schaffner added.
The cult fetish film star had received chemotherapy despite no health insurance prior to her illness being revealed last week. At one point, she simply wanted to die, fearing her fans would no longer care about her and exhausted from the effects of the illness, according to Schaffner.
Natividad first gained renown in the 1970s working for director Russ Meyer in such films as Up. Her most recent video appearance was VCA's Café Flesh 2.
