Kissa Sins on Pushing Her Limits, Self-Love & The SinsLife

Kissa Sins finds inspiration in the six-word sentence that reminds her what’s most important.

Stop living like you live again.

“I started saying that because it feels like everyone is living like they get another shot at life,” Kissa tells AVN. “I'm not saying there isn't an afterlife or other lives or reincarnation or anything, but I do believe we should be living this life we have now to the absolute fullest, just in case it is our last life—who fucking knows?

“We need to stop wasting time stressing about everything so much and spend more time enjoying life!”

It’s that go-for-it attitude that has fueled one of the fastest rises to porn superstardom of the past decade. Less than seven years after Sins’ debut on Brazzers, she has become one of adult entertainment’s most popular performers, commanding a fanatical following that spans multiple media platforms. At press time Kissa had 1.4 million followers just on her official Instagram alone at @coyotelovesyou.

Sins’ supporters not only appreciate her uninhibited sex scenes, they also love the way she holds nothing back off the set, sharing her passions and vulnerabilities without fear of judgment.

Even after all that has come her way since her buzzworthy arrival on SinsLife.com—her XXX lifestyle collaboration with her longtime partner, Johnny Sins, in 2014—Kissa says, “I don't think I've changed at all.”

“I've always been a sexual deviant with more sexual energy in me than I can handle,” Kissa admits. “Porn really just allowed me to share it with everyone on earth. I'm still the same tomboy girl who can't do makeup and snorts when I laugh!”

What has changed for the native of Southern California, however, is her surroundings. Kissa moved to Hawaii for the first time in 2015, living there for two years before returning to the mainland in 2018 to work closely with director Jules Jordan on a 25-scene contract that included the five encounters that went into her AVN Award-winning showcase, The Corruption of Kissa Sins.

Then about eight months ago, Kissa moved back to the Aloha State, where she bought a house that she has been converting into a fully sustainable permaculture farm.

“Within the next six months my property will produce almost all the food I need to survive if I walk across the street to the ocean and spearfish for fish,” Kissa explains. “I've been obsessed with sustainability and living off the grid since I went to permaculture school in Costa Rica last year!”

Sins says her favorite parts of living in Hawaii are “the ocean, the adventure, the people and the way my heart feels when I'm here.”

“I love growing all my own food and appreciating the beauty of the land,” she continues. “I love hiking and being outside and the community and the beautiful mindset and lifestyle of living here.

“After my year of solo traveling I had gone to so many different islands and places but Hawaii always kept my heart. I've been coming here since I was a kid and have always just felt a calling to be here.”

Kissa took two years away from shooting porn to travel in the world on her own for all of 2019. During last year’s quarantine she shot solo content for her OnlyFans and then in May of this year things came full circle as she agreed to an exclusive performance deal with Brazzers—the studio where she first made a name for herself.

“It was fucking awesome to sign with Brazzers and be a whore again!” she says excitedly.

Kissa made a splash from the beginning thanks in part to her notorious significant other, Johnny Sins, the Brazzers bad boy who won the Fan-Voted AVN Award for Favorite Male Porn Star five consecutive times from 2017-21.

“Kissa has always been a sexual fireball, I think she just didn’t have anywhere to express that side of her until getting into the adult biz,” Johnny Sins tells AVN. “Once she took the leap it came flowing out! She’s always had incredible sexual energy and really feels sex like no one else. She’s intense, passionate, wild and brings it all—100 percent into her scenes.”

A bonafide superstar himself, Johnny has racked up 728 credits for ZZ alone since 2006—not to mention more than 2700 overall in a career that has him well on his way to legend status.

One of the adult industry's most beloved couples, Johnny and Kissa’s SinsLife brand extended to a YouTube channel that has more than 1.8 million followers, a porn series, a blog and a full line of apparel.

“Kissa has always been the driving force behind the SinsLife marketing,” Johnny explains. “She is very business-minded, smart and doesn’t take shit from anyone.

“I always called her my ‘Pit Bull’ because she never let anyone take advantage of us. We started shooting videos for fun while vacationing in Cabo and Kissa loved how she looked on camera and wanted to shoot more.

“So the SinsLife brand was born with the two of us just shooting on a GoPro, usually outdoors in awesome locations. We eventually started shooting threesomes together with the hottest girls in the industry and called it the ‘Sins Sex Tour.’ The merch came next. We wanted to design something simple that wasn’t too ‘porny’ that we would want to wear.

“The Sins logo was created after brainstorming and trying a lot of different fonts. Shortly after we started the merch site and started selling Sins apparel and linked everything together. We started YouTube next, after living on Maui together for a year.

“We got the inspiration after binge watching Casey Neistat videos every night before bed. We wanted to show our lives and that even though we were in the adult business, we are just normal people. Maui was also the most beautiful backdrop and we liked to share our adventures from Hawaii. Fans could get a glimpse of our personal lives and our sex lives, which made people very interested in us.”

A native of Western Pennsylvania who grew up near Pittsburgh, Johnny recalls how he met Kissa on Instagram “way before DM’s were even a thing.”

“We both commented on each other’s pics and she dropped her phone number right in the comments. I got it and told her to delete it quick before randoms started calling her!” Johnny recalls with a laugh. “After texting back and forth for a while, we agreed to meet up—nothing fancy—at a local bar by my place for some drinks.”

He remembers their first date “vividly.”

“I got there a little early because I was nervous and wanted to have a drink before Kissa arrived,” Johnny reveals. “She texted me when I was at the bar and told me she got pulled over by the cops but everything was fine, she talks her way out of tickets all the time!

“While she was waiting she texted me a pic of her legs sitting in the car with the tiniest black dress on. When she got there, I felt pretty comfortable right away and we talked, flirted and had a few drinks.

“I did notice at the bar she wasn’t wearing any underwear under her tiny black dress and got even more turned on! She told me she thought I was going to be a huge douche but was pleasantly surprised I was a half-decent guy and that I drove a truck, not a douchey Benz or something fancy.

“We went back to my place that night. I convinced her to stay the night, cooked her scrambled eggs in the morning and we became inseparable after that.”

Kissa says when she met Johnny she was on a quest “to have my first one-night stand.”

“When we became inseparable and started my erotica blog it became very popular on the internet and I noticed right away people were very interested in the way we lived our life,” Kissa says. “We basically just put our lives out there—especially our sex lives—and people loved that we shared everything with them.

“We all became a family—they watched us grow up—it’s weird and cool and I loved it.”

In fact Kissa says she would not be where she is today without the unconditional support she receives from her admirers worldwide.

“I love my fans so much... I started my career as an erotica writer and have kept a lot of those fans (that are more like friends) and seriously my fans mean so much to me,” Kissa continues. “You can see on my Instagram how I share my entire life and all my secrets with everyone... Everything from sex to porn—to mental health to addiction.

“They help me get through things and I feel like I have this giant, amazing family that I want in my life forever. I'm starting my blog again that I started my career with. You can find it at CoyoteLovesYou.com."

In addition to Kissa’s work with Brazzers—where she had 35 scenes at post time— several of her most acclaimed performances have been for Hall of Fame shooter Jules Jordan.

Under Jordan’s direction, Kissa won two 2019 AVN Awards—Best Solo Tease and Best Threeway Sex Scene - Girl/Girl/Boy for special edition two-disc set, The Corruption of Kissa Sins. She called the movie “transformational” at the time.

“When I made the decision to work with other men other than Johnny Sins and signed with Jules Jordan it was kind of like me growing up,” Kissa explains. “I had only slept with a few men at that time and was loyal to only Johnny, but he didn't really care much that I was monogamous to him and just wanted me to do whatever made me happy. I was at a turning point where I was either going to quit porn or go explore my own sexuality for myself and I chose the latter.

“Looking back I must admit I was terrified... I had never fucked a man I didn't love and felt scared I was going to hate it or feel uncomfortable. Until then I didn't understand the intensity of the sexual storm I had brewing inside of me my entire life.

“Shooting The Corruption of Kissa Sins broke me out of my sexual cage and changed my life forever! Jules will always be my favorite director to shoot for and I'll never forget that year we spent corrupting the fuck out of me!”

Jordan tells AVN, “Kissa has been a force since Day 1.”

“I knew when I found her on online platforms she would be a huge star,” Jordan says. “I did a distribution deal for SinsLife, her company with Johnny based on her amazing look and performance.

“I’m glad I was able to collaborate with her on special projects such as our showcase, she always gives 1000 percent. Kissa’s athleticism and enthusiasm are unique gifts in the industry.”

A Fleshlight Girl who received the honor in 2019, Kissa recalls when she first started porn how she was “so jealous in a good way” of the top girls who had their customized toys with the iconic manufacturer.

“Being a Fleshlight Girl makes me feel super special and I love that they literally molded my holes for people to fuck,” Kissa says. “The idea that people can order my butthole and pussy and actually feel what it's like to fuck me turns me on so much!”

Kissa was born in Cali, but moved to Canada when she was a baby after her parents divorced.

“I grew up mostly in Canada as a kid but got sent back to LA to be with my dad when I turned 13 because I was a problem child and my mom couldn't handle me,” Kissa jokes. “Once I moved back to LA my dad had all these crazy rules my mom didn't have and I rebelled like a motherfucker and partied and went to juvenile hall all the time for running away—I was crazy.”

She coordinated big events before getting into adult, doing weddings and large parties of all kinds. But she admits, “I've hated every job except porn. I'll never go back.”

Seven years later, Kissa says she has realized a number of things, not the least of which is “I love sex work and our industry in general.”

“I've always loved all the people in it and love and admire sex workers so much,” Kissa says. “I’ve never met a more open-minded group of people and it's just beautiful to have a job where we all safely fuck each other and have orgasms for a living.

“I never have quite as much fun as when I'm on set giggling and being openly naked and just real and fuck with everyone. I'm truly so grateful for it and think I was made for porn.

“I have always had the exact same insane sex drive and sexuality that was always suppressed before porn. After becoming a porn star and sharing my sexuality with the world I feel free and alive and more comfortable in my own skin.

“I'm also grateful because I am a horrible size queen and can never find non-porn dudes with big enough cocks that fuck me the way I want to be fucked!”

She explains that her journey in porn means “everything” to her.

“Porn gave me everything I have,” Kissa continues. “I was a fuck-up as a kid; I dropped out of high school. I was always with the bad kids on the wrong track.

“Porn bought me my house. It gave me the opportunity to fuck in ways I'd never be able to experience in the ‘real world.’ It gave me a platform to share my sexuality and make it my job, which is amazing because sex is what I'm truly good at.

“Porn made me understand humans so much better. It made me understand myself and my body so much better. It gave me more compassion toward sex workers and other marginalized groups. It gave me hundreds of amazing days on set with amazing people that I wouldn't trade for anything. It gave me the life I live today and I'm forever grateful.”

In addition, Kissa says she learned another invaluable lesson from porn.

“That I have no limits,” she adds. “I've learned that I always want more and nothing is ever enough. I've never been pushed to a level I couldn't handle. I welcome all intensity and can push myself and my body to limits I had no idea existed.”

When she isn’t working, Kissa loves “free-diving” and even has become an instructor.

“I can dive straight down into the ocean—150 feet down—without breathing!” she says. “I love the ocean. I love remodeling my house. I'm doing most things myself and it's been incredible. I love laughing and cooking and gardening, but mainly I am just a big fan of having fun.”

A self proclaimed “great cook” who says “I give the best blowjobs on earth,” Kissa calls her greatest achievement “being myself no matter what and not changing or giving a fuck what anyone thinks about me ever.”

“I love myself and I'm comfortable in my own skin and no one can take that from me!” she says.
