LOS ANGELES—Kazumi channeled Fast & Furious vibes in her exclusive photoshoot as the May Twistys Treat of the Month.
Clad in a shiny black mini-skirt and matching bustier with high-heeled boots, the Filipino star waved a checkered flag while posing in front of a black classic hot rod.
Think Twistys meets Hot Import Nights.
It wasn’t lost on Kazumi that she has joined a distinguished group of women who have been crowned Twistys Treat of the Month—an honor that was first bestowed in August 2005.
“It’s always super exciting and such a blessing to continually have my name spoken about and to get these opportunities,” Kazumi tells AVN.
“I feel like I haven’t really done anything this year. It’s definitely been different than my first year in the [mainstream] industry when I had wins everywhere and made a lot of progress. So far this has been a quieter year for me so it’s nice to have people still think of me.”
But the notorious independent creator is being modest—she’s just four months removed from co-hosting the 2024 AVN Awards Show in Las Vegas along with Luna Star and Emily Lynne as the trio graced adult’s biggest stage for the 41st edition of the iconic ceremony.
The enterprising influencer—a former marketing exec from LA—embarked on her path to porn stardom after deciding to focus on her OnlyFans in the spring of 2020.
Even though she had yet to launch her Instagram, her first viral moment came in March of that year, when she decided to Photoshop her face with a Fox News headline that she got booted out of Harvard.
Hundreds of memes later, Kazumi has established herself as one of adult’s most creative promoters. For starters, Kazumi has utilized airplane banners, box trucks and Hollywood billboards to get the word out about her adult endeavors in the past four years.
She left nothing to chance for her Twistys Treat girl/girl scene, asking the sensational Nicole Doshi to join her in what was only the second studio scene Kazumi has done with another girl.
“I’m pretty proud of it,” Kazumi says. “I requested Nicole because she’s one of the girls I have a really good rhythm with on set. Being in the industry for a little while now I think I know what I’m doing a little bit.”
Day 1 of her Twistys spotlight saw her doing a solo session.
“That was pretty cute. It was my first ever solo mainstream shoot,” she confesses. “I feel so shy about it. I always like to have a dance partner. I don’t ever do solo stuff.”
Lea Lexis styled and directed Kazumi, while veteran photographer JT did the honors with the photos.
“It was like we were just hanging out with friends and creating something fun and those are the moments I live for,” she says. “This industry is supposed to be fun.”
Her girl/girl with Doshi started out with a setup in a cafe. In the scenario, Kazumi’s boyfriend isn’t paying attention to her, so her barista Nicole steps in.
“I’m not one of the best girl-on-girl performers, but at least I give a pretty honest performance,” Kazumi says bashfully. “I wish I had more experience doing these.”
Kazumi & Co. upped the ante in her second Twistys look, as she donned a form-fitting black body suit, red thigh-high boots and a stylish red leather racing jacket.
“I begged Lea to let me keep it—it was so cute,” Kazumi says.
“That’s another thing I like about shooting with Lea. I don’t have to worry about my wardrobe. She styled me. I really liked all the looks. I felt like Shakira.”
Kazumi had previously shot with Lea and JT for Brazzers, which is Twistys sister company.
“I haven’t shot that much this year, but I finally kind of found my look in the industry. I was a brunette and had a much different aesthetic. I found my look being blonde and tan, and a little more fit. This is how I like looking,” she adds.
Kazumi tells AVN she’s also embracing her passion for fashion in 2024.
“I’m focusing on doing a lot of looks and I booked a bunch of photoshoots with different aesthetics. I’ll be exploring fashion a little more this year,” she says.
“I kind of want to start walking runways and doing campaigns and stuff.”
Kazumi also just finished an extended stint on a reality TV show for Tubi, joining a cast of eight OnlyFans influencers who lived together in a house for eight weeks.
“I was mic’d up 24-7,” she says. “The show gives some insight into the lives of sex workers. I was the only porn girl in the house.
“I don’t know if I’m good for reality TV because I’m not argumentative. I’m just pretty horny and weird."
