LOS ANGELES—Digital Playground contract star Katsuni this weekend introduced her new line of lingerie to the Far East audience at the Asian Adult Expo in Macao, which is considered the “Asian Las Vegas.”
Katsuni’s lingerie is called Petit Coeur or “Little Heart” in French. She plans to unveil the line in her home country of France for Valentine’s Day, and then will launch the brand in the U.S. in the springtime. The French-Vietnamese starlet also performed a series of erotic shows on the Asian Adult Expo stage at the Venetian, where she met fans at her Petit Coeur booth.
Hot Video, the leading adult magazine in France, followed Katsuni on her Macao trip where she met her Asian fans for the first time.
“It is very exciting. I'll also be able to meet the most famous Japanese porn stars, hot Australian strippers and of course to enjoy some sightseeing,” Katsuni said before she arrived. “This meeting with a new world, a new culture, delights me. We all never forget our first time.”
In addition to her adult movie notoriety, Katsuni said the Asia Adult Expo organizers asked her to be a special guest after twice seeing her on the cover of the French edition of Penthouse. This week Katsuni plans to continue her Asian trip with a visit to Hong Kong and then Manila in the Philippines where she will visit a little girl that she helps so she can attend school.
Meanwhile, the performer recently landed the cover of a high fashion magazine in France called L'Optimum. Katsuni joined American actresses Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Sharon Stone as the only women to grace the publication's cover.
“Normally it's only men (Obama, Jay Z, Tarantino), but this month it's me naked!” Katsuni said. “They even speak about it in the newspaper and on TV. People are shocked.”
Prior to her trip to Macao, the 12-time AVN award-winner defended the adult industry, and Larry Flynt, on live French TV during her appearance on the show “Ce Soir.” Katsuni had been invited to be a guest on the Dec. 1 show to speak about porn’s financial hard times when mainstream actor Christian Clavier who was also a guest made negative remarks about the profession.
