HOLLYWOOD - First-time producer/director Justin Kane has scored a hit with his porn parody Spunk'd, distributed by IVD.
“We spent a very long time making this movie,” said Kane. “We were thorough and determined to stay true to the television show which we were parodying, and I couldn’t be happier with the end result.”
The Boston native and USC Grad School graduate was looking to work in mainstream Hollywood, but jumped at the opportunity to work in Porn Valley.
“I went to work as a producer and production manager for Nectar and started to learn the adult movie business,” explained Kane. “One thing led to another and I started to write the script for Spunk’d The Movie because I really liked what they were doing with 'Punk’d' and I just thought it would make for a great porn movie.”
Soon the rookie director found himself busy casting his movie with starlets such as Hillary Scott, Eva Angelina and Katie Gold.
Kane then went after a non-traditional movie distribution deal, signing directly with IVD where he struck up an exclusive deal to get his movie into brick-and-mortar stores and online retail sites.
“Everything has been a great experience so far but you really have to work hard to get a project like this to the public,” Kane said.
