Transsexual performer Joanna Jet has just become the newest columnist on AVNInsider with today’s launch of her new column “A Wind of Change.”
Jet, the first transsexual columnist to contribute to the site, intends to write about the industry from a transsexual viewpoint.
“I’m looking forward to having a voice. It’s nice to be included in that cast of names, to be accepted essentially,” Jet told AVN.com.
Prior to establishing herself as one of the top she-male performers and producers of transsexual content, Jet used to work in the business world, where she was required to write a number of proposals for her clients, but her real writing experience would be writing short stories that she posts on her Yahoo! based fan club.
“They are gritty with a hard edge, but they aren’t really porn stories. They are more of a TS point of view type stories, what it's like to live that life,” Jet said.
AVNInsider managing editor Heidi-Pike Johnson was thrilled to have Jet contribute to the site.
“Joanna Jet is a really intelligent person who can offer a lot of insight into what it is like to be working in the adult industry as a transsexual performer,” said Pike-Johnson. “She was a fan of the site and so when she expressed an interest in writing a column it was really flattering.”
