Joanna Angel, Small Hands Debut Quarantine Thriller 'Lana'

MONTREAL—AVN Hall of Famer Joanna Angel and reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year Small Hands today unleash a brand new thriller, Lana, through BurningAngel.com and AdultTime.com.

Following up last year's Three Cheers for Satan, which took home the 2020 AVN Award for Best Action/Thriller, Lana is a single-setting horror picture shot by the power couple entirely during quarantine. The story involves Angel getting possessed by the ghost of an old madam.

"The entire experience of making this movie during the pandemic will always be very special to me," Angel said. "Small Hands and I spent an entire month on it, with just each other, transforming every nook and cranny in our house into a set using anything and everything we had around ... and ... figuring out how to get creative with whatever was available at Target curbside pickup."

Using a Blair Witch Project-esque "found footage" style, Lana was a unique project for director Angel, she says.

"We got to do what we normally don't get to do when making a movie in the typical way it's done on set, and that was ... take our time," Angel explained. "Because, well, we sure had a lot of it. This was a true and challenging labor of love!"

The first episode of Lana is available now to all members of BurningAngel and Adult Time, with the remain three episodes set to roll out over the course of September.
