LOS ANGELES—New Wicked Pictures head of production Jessica Jasmin is set to make her directing debut with upcoming release Blast From the Past.
According to promo materials, Blast From the Past is a comedy that "invites audiences to reminisce on the carefree spirit of their college years and enjoy the lost art of professional porn on a handheld camera."
“This movie is a full-circle moment for me," Jasmin said. "It took me back to my own past and the time I spent on mainstream sets. Wicked is an incredible brand and bringing this movie to life has been an amazing experience. The opportunity to work with industry legends such as Stormy Daniels, Evan Stone and Seth Gamble was a real treat, and I’m extremely grateful for the help I got from Seth on a production level.”
Gamble returned the compliment, saying, “It was an honor to get to be such a big part of Jessica’s first Wicked feature. Not only has she done so [much] in cultivating the future of the company, but she’s passionate and excited about all the projects that we do. And that was shown in full force in Blast From the Past. She took the opportunity to direct this movie very seriously and we had an absolute blast doing it. I’m grateful I was allowed to help in any capacity to bring Jessica’s vision to life. I think the fans are really gonna love this '80s throwback.”
Gamble and Stone portray the movie’s protagonist, Michael Adkins, at different stages in his life. Elaborates a company synopsis, "Adkins wears his bachelor past as a badge of honor. Though he’s sure he’s still one of the coolest people around, his son (played by Tyler Cruise) and daughter (played by Jazlyn Ray) disagree. To them, he’s just an uptight dad. Adkins' wife (played by Stormy Daniels) knows that her man has always had it going on, but she’s happy to relive their glory days through new technology that allows Adkins to take his family on a virtual blast to the past. He’s ready to prove that he was, and always will be, The Man."
Episode one of Blast From the Past, featuring Adkins' first foray into his own memories—and his family’s inaugural peek at his epic player ways—stars Gamble and Charlotte Sins, and will be available on Friday, August 25, exclusively on Wicked.com.
