ORANGE, Calif.—Wicked Sensual Care brand strategist, sex educator and Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake returned to Southern California's Chapman University this week to discuss porn literacy and other sexual wellness topics. She spoke to the students of Psychology 340: Human Sexuality, taught by Associate Professor Dr. David Frederick for the Crean School of Health and Behavioral Sciences.
Utilizing a virtual format, Drake addressed the class of undergraduates regarding a host of subjects, including sexual health, relationships, feminism, tolerance, boundaries and consent. A popular Chapman University guest, Drake has made multiple appearances on campus to conduct workshops, lead talks and speak alongside fellow industry activists and advocates.
"Having the privilege of sharing my lived experiences as a sex worker, performer, sex educator, director and most of all human being with the students in David Frederick’s class was very fulfilling," Darke said. "Porn literacy becomes more important with each passing day and as the opportunity presents itself, it’s vital that we continue the conversation. I’m grateful to the attendees for the open-minded questions they prepared for me, and I look forward to the next time.”
A much sought-after public speaker, Drake has garnered enthusiastic praise for her appearances at universities and sex-positive events across the country, with Dr. Frederick describing her as “an exceptional speaker. I would highly recommend her as a speaker for any class related to media issues, gender or sexuality.” Dr. Constance Penley, Professor of Film and Media Studies and Co-Director of the Carsey-Wolf Center at UC Santa Barbara, sees her as “a compelling and articulate sex educator who is also smart, funny and compassionate."
In addition to the Chapman engagement, Drake last week treated her adult fanbase to an all-new AMA ("Ask Me Anything") experience exclusively for Wicked.com members. “Great things are in the works at Wicked, and I wanted to make my return to the members forum by answering some pressing questions that our fans have," the three-time AVN Best Actress enthused. "I’m looking forward to the projects in the pipeline for 2021, and my Q&A was just a taste of things to come!”
