LOS ANGELES, Calif.—2010 Grammy winners Lady Gaga and Beyonce weren't the only femme fatales seen on E! News last night during the world premiere of the video for their smash hit “Telephone.” Wicked Pictures contract stars jessica drake and Alektra Blue made guest appearances in the "Prison for Bitches" segment that opened the show.
The nine-and-a-half-minute video, which debuted March 11, was directed by feature filmmaker Jonas Ackerlund (Spun), and featured a high-profile cast headlined by Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Tyrese Gibson (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, 2 Fast 2 Furious).
The mini-movie's opening sequence features Lady Gaga as a garishly dressed prison inmate being taunted by punked-out prisoners jessica and Alektra as she's led through a grimy cellblock. The prelude climaxes as drake licks the bars of her cell as Blue gazes menacingly into the camera. Once the Wicked girls are established, Gaga's partner-in-crime, Beyonce, stages an impromptu jailbreak, and the two songstresses spend the balance of the video tearing up the town, checking out the Pussy Wagon from Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill movies, terrorizing a diner and just generally delivering what Fleshbot is calling a "lush, gorgeous video with plenty of skin, plenty of sexy...and enough murder and masturbation to really make things interesting."
"When I auditioned for the Lady Gaga / Beyonce video, I was nervous, but really excited," said drake. "As I got the callback, my excitement grew. While on the set, the entire experience was just so surreal to me. Being around Lady Gaga all day and watching her rehearse, sing, dance and create her own special kind of monster magic was one of the greatest things I've ever done. I'm delighted I made the final cut, and the only thing better than that is the fact that I got to share the experience with Alektra Blue. I'm really proud of us and I give my sincere thanks to Jonas Ackerlund for selecting us, and to Wicked for the amazing opportunity."
"I can't believe we made the final cut, and to find out from fans that they saw us during the E! News premiere was also extremely flattering,” echoed Blue. “This really was a groundbreaking project, and it was great to be a part of its history."
