Jenna Jameson Hypes 'Shadow Hunter' at Comic Con

SAN DIEGO - AVN Hall of Famer Jenna Jameson will appear at this weekend's Comic-Con International convention in San Diego to promote 'Shadow Hunter,' a new series of comic books in which she stars as a demon-fighting superhero.

'Shadow Hunter' debuts in comic shops and online comic retailers December 15 through Virgin Comics. A complete 144-page graphic novel will be available in June 2008 at all major book sellers.

"In the book I'm a regular girl who has a near-death experience and I go into a coma and when I come out I have these superpowers of seduction, which I use to rid the world of demons," Jenna told the Los Angeles Times.

The comic will not contain nudity. Asked whether her character's arsenal of superpowers will include sex, Jameson said, "We haven't decided if we're going to go that far. I'm sure a lot of fans would like that."

"Jenna Jameson is a cultural force," said Virgin Comics CEO Sharad Devarajan. "She is an entrepreneur who is taking the taboo to the mainstream and has built an industry around her brand."

"Jenna brings a defiance and edge to everything she does," added Virgin Comics' chief creative officer, Gotham Chopra. "She's a provocateur and there's no doubt that our creative team at Virgin is going to have a blast collaborating with her. I can assure you every artist we have in our studio is vying to get assigned to this project!"

Jenna will be speaking about Shadow Hunter and signing autographs on Saturday, July 28 at 4:30 PM at the San Diego Convention Center.
