Jenna Jameson Discusses Feature Film Biopic

Jenna Jameson told AVN that she is immersed in pre-production for the feature film about her life that will be based on her book, "How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale."

"We're in the writing process now. We've already picked a director who is a very famous, inventive visionary, and I've been hands-on 100 percent," said Jameson, whose 2004 autobiography spent several weeks on the New York Times Best-Seller list.

Jameson said that she is so closely involved with the project that she will have an executive producer credit. The movie studio has yet be announced.

"I'll be on set every day," she added. "I'm really excited. This is the biggest thing I've ever done in my life."

Among the numerous actresses being considered for the role of Jenna are Scarlett Johansson, Rachel McAdams, Heather Graham and Christina Aguilera.

"The bottom line is this is a role that every girl in Hollywood is going to want to play," Jameson said. "To me it's got everything that an actress would want. It's dramatic and comedic and it's got all the ingredients of something worthy of Oscar contention, but I guess everybody thinks their life is worthy of Oscar contention. It's going to start production in 2008."

Meanwhile, Jameson is also focused on producing and directing her second adult movie on the heels of her acclaimed debut, Jenna's Provocateur, in 2006.

"I'm in the writing process for Provocateur 2. It's going to be themed. I'm really, really excited about the theme," Jameson said, without revealing too much. "To give you a little idea, I'm kind of intrigued by water bondage. That will be a big piece of it. I'm really, really hoping to get it out by [AVN Award] nominations time this year."

Her directorial debut led to 2007 AVN Awards nominations for Best Director and Best Film, among several others. But Jenna's Provocateur won only for Best Editing – Film on Jan. 13 at the 24th annual ceremony at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Justin Sterling and Johnny 5 edited the Club Jenna/Vivid title that was released last fall.

"I think I'm just going to have to buckle down a little harder and show those other film directors who's boss," Jameson said.

Her most recent DVD, Jenna Loves Justin, is ranked second on AVN's Weekly Top 50 Rentals & Sales Chart in its seventh week on the list. It had been No. 1 for five straight weeks.

"For me it's a beautiful validation for all my hard work," Jameson said. "I wouldn't have it any other way, and I really want to thank all the consumers and retailers and distributors."

Jameson is now anticipating the release of Janine Loves Jenna, in which she stars opposite Janine Lindemulder.

"I know it's going to be a blockbuster," Jameson said, "and it's exactly what I always wanted. Now with the power of Playboy behind me, this is something that just comes naturally."

Sterling, aka Club Jenna CEO Jay Grdina, directed the title and is also in the final stages of editing it.

"It's an insane budget," Jameson said, adding that Grdina is "incredible" at what he does. "It's going to be on par with Bella Loves Jenna and Briana Loves Jenna. It's actually bigger and better. I haven't seen the final copy yet. I think I'm just as excited as everybody else. Jay, will you please hurry up and finish the editing! He's the temperamental, artistic type who locks himself in the office and won't come out for days. He's like Howard Hughes."

She continued, "I'm really excited about it. I just shot the box cover with Janine a couple weeks ago, and she just looks fabulous. It's going to be really amazing. We're going to do a huge promotional push on this movie."

Jameson also revealed that she is "actively looking" for a couple of other Club Jenna Girls.

"We're kind of window shopping. There is a lot of great new talent in the business. I'm excited to tap into that," she said.

Last year Jameson awarded contracts to two girls – Brea Bennett and Roxy Jezel – who emerged victorious from her Playboy TV reality series, "Jenna's American Sex Star."

"I haven't decided whether I want to do another season," she said. "I want to have more say in the outline of the show, but I would love to do it. I think it's something Playboy is very interested in, so it's only a matter of time."

Jameson said she was also looking forward to a tropical vacation this month in which she says she will "lay out and scuba-dive."
