Jane Wilde on Showcases, Social Media & Making an Impact

LOS ANGELES—Jane Wilde calls her encounter with Rocco Siffredi “one of the craziest experiences of my entire life.”

Siffredi returned to Los Angeles from his compound in Budapest, Hungary, for a round of sex scenes in February, hand-picking a select group of girls for Rocco’s Back to America for More Adventures.

The Hall of Fame super-stud squared off with Wilde on February 13.

“Afterwards Rocco hugged me and I just couldn't help it, I just started to cry,” Wilde says. “I was like, ‘Oh my god, first of all, what just happened? And second of all, that was crazy.’

“I just felt so overwhelmed with the sensation—and knowing that I was capable of doing something like that. It was just…it’s hard to fully explain how I felt.

“And a lot of people were saying like, ‘Those were fake tears.’ I'm like, ‘Why would I? Why would I fake cry? That's pretty cringe-y. It’s crazy in general that I cried, but to fake cry is even worse, and I've never done that after any other scene."

It’s quite a statement by the just-turned 22-year-old native of New York, who in the past two-plus years has emerged as one of the industry’s strongest performers with dozens of feats of sexual athleticism now on record.

Wilde at press time had more than 330 credits since her terrific debut in 2018, including 63 scenes in 2020—even though the industry was on hold for almost four months.

Without question one of Wilde’s biggest releases of the year—and her career—is Jane’s Anal Addictionthe glittering star showcase directed by AVN Hall of Fame shooter Jonni Darkko.

That production features Jane’s first blowbang, double-vaginal and double-anal penetrations with a steely cast of male talent anchored by Markus Dupree, the 2018 Male Performer of the Year, and John Strong, who did the double-stuffing honors.

“She’s really gone out of her way to let everyone know that she’s a new force in the business,” Darkko tells AVN. “I always like working with her because she always brings her A game. She’s a little powerhouse. She just comes in and wants to dominate and run it. She has a vision for herself, which is always a good thing.

“Jane is at a point where she’s got a bunch of ideas and she’s in charge of her direction—and she’s not fucking around. Any time I meet someone and they’re that driven, I know what’s going to happen. You can see the future.”

Wilde says it was a pleasure to create something special with Darkko.

“It's a big one for me,” she says. “I was a fan of the genre of showcase porn for a long time before I even joined the industry, and Jonni and Jules Jordan were like the two people that I really looked to that made the best showcases.”

Wilde loves how Darkko’s showcases “always get so nasty.”

“That's my favorite thing in porn is to just let your inhibitions go and just be like a freak,” Wilde says. “Like walking down the street no one would ever think you did those types of things. And I love that.”

That’s one of the reasons why they work so well together—their collaborations started months before Anal Addiction came to fruition.

“And then it came to a point when I really wanted to do a blowbang and I thought about it and I felt like I want this so bad. And I feel like if you want it bad enough you should just take it,” Wilde explains.

“If you have the opportunity, you should take it. So I asked him and I said, ‘I want to do a blowbang and I also want to do a double anal because I really want to try it. Obviously, I want you to get it.’

“He was like, ‘So let's do like a whole movie.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my god, a movie—like for me?’ It was about about a year ago, I think this September 6. I don't know why I remember these dates so clearly.”

Wilde continues, “But we shot the scene from Gape Me 3 with Alex Jones. And that's when I asked him about those things and we decided we were going to do it. And then we shot the movie from November to January.

“And I don't know… like sometimes I can't even believe that I did it. Because it was such a dream of mine and so many people that I looked up to did such amazing work with Jonni in a showcase. And then to finally have that opportunity now it's like—it’s there. It exists.

“It’s still so surreal. I don't think about it that much. Because it's just…It’s strange. It's almost like I manifested it—and I don't even believe in that stuff. But it’s like I thought about it so much and I wanted it so bad. And then it just happened—like it happened exactly how I wanted it to and I got the talents I wanted to work with. And the scenes were just everything I wanted them to be. And I did things that I never did before.

“And I was so happy with the response and everything having to do with it and working with Jonni's like a dream. He loves to be creative and he's a perfectionist.

“And I love the way he captures me on film. So it was it was definitely an amazing experience. I'm privileged to be one of the showcases that he's done.”

If fans were wondering what Wilde and Darkko planned to do for an encore, they got their answer two weeks ago when the duo unveiled another star showcase—the aptly titled Jane Wilde Is Agape. On the box cover, Wilde is billed as the “Gape Queen.”

This time a staggering group of meat-packers lined up to drill Jane. Among them were Jax Slayher, Prince Yahshua, Chris Diamond and Darkko himself; Alexis Tae joined Wilde and Slayher in another scene.

“We were just chatting and just through osmosis it happened,” Darkko explains. “It was just natural. Other than wanting to have a good time and wanting to make dirty scenes we didn’t want to go out of our way to overthink it.

“She’s got a vision. She wanted to work with Chris Diamond. She was so excited to work with him. It was like somebody was buying her a car.

“Chris is a super strong performer and he can crush someone easily. He can come in like a hurricane. But they had a synergy together that was just dynamic.”

Darkko continues, “And Jax Slayher and Prince—I love working with those guys. They always bring their A-games. When you have all those A people in a row, you can’t deny the outcome. I look at those days and just know it’s in the pocket. It’s just easy. I hate to use sports analogies but I feel like it’s a guaranteed win.”

Indeed Wilde has come a long way since her first scene in January 2018 with two-time AVN Best Actor Seth Gamble for Reality Kings. But even though Wilde has graduated from hotshot rookie status to A-list star, she says the more things have changed, the more they have stayed the same.

“I still remember my very first day of going to shoot porn and my scene partner was Seth Gamble, who I still work with to this day—and I love working with him. Now I've worked with him like over 10 times probably. And I still remember I wasn't nervous. I had not had sex in five months and I was ready and I was excited. And I saw Seth and he was attractive and I was like, 'This is gonna be a good day,’” Wilde says.

“And the camera was there, but you know it wasn't a deal-breaker for me. And I actually liked it.

“And I was like, ‘These guys just sitting here watching me, I’m into that.’ And I still feel that excitement being in front of the camera."

Wilde says "the camera has always been my friend."

"It's always been a good thing in the room. It's never been a detractor. So in some ways I feel different, but other ways I feel like I've always known and had like this little thing in me that just was dying for the camera’s attention,” she adds.

The audience seems to like what it sees when Wilde springs into action, too.

She had 359,000-plus followers on Twitter at press time and another 455K-plus on Instagram.

“People ask me, they're like, ‘How did you grow your social media so big?’ And I don't really know the answer," Wilde admits. "I've had this Twitter account since 2016 when I started as a cam girl. So that's about four years now. And I didn't have that many followers beforehand, but I don't know. I think it's just posting a lot and posting not just about porn and about selling porn but about my life and letting people into my life a little bit.

"And I realized that I'm a public figure and people follow me for a reason and people are entitled to post whatever they want on social media."

Wilde reveals she has a "mission statement" for her social platforms.

"That it's going to be a nice mix of who I am as my real person—which people don't know my real name—but like who I am inside the side of me that I don't always show on camera," she explains. "And who you guys see when you turn on Pornhub or Evil Angel or whatever it is, and you watch my porn—that person.

“But on social media, I want it to be a mix. So I want people to know when I'm feeling bad or when I'm feeling down. But I also want them to know how excited I am about the scene I'm shooting tomorrow and how nasty I want to get and see pictures of me and seeing pictures of my dog. But then also pictures of my body.

“And I just want people to feel like they're getting to know the closest thing to the real me without me fully giving everything of myself. I have to keep some parts of myself for my own sake, but I try to give as much of myself on social media as possible and I try to be positive. Sometimes I can't help but be negative about things but I try to be positive."

She considers the forced break that came with the industry shutdown due to the pandemic a blessing in disguise—because it allowed her to recharge.

“I shot a lot in January and February—those were like insane months for me,” Wilde says. “Obviously, I'm not happy about COVID but I don't know when I would have gotten a break."

She adds, "I want my fans to be constantly getting new content. And I want them know that I'm not leaving the industry. Because it would be really easy to do that right now and I'm not going anywhere.”

Wilde shot her first professional scene back from the lockdown the weekend after July 4 with six-time AVN Male Performer of the Year Manuel Ferrara for his award-winning series Raw.

“And I love working with him,” Wilde says. “And I remember in my first interview [in September 2018], I said one of my goals was to work with Manuel and I hadn't worked with him yet. And I worked with him like about four times now. And he's great.”

She had previously worked with the French superstar for Deeper—a scene that has yet to be released—and a couple scenes for Ferrara’s line with Jules Jordan.

“And no I never did Raw and I was really excited about it because I just love the amateur aspect. But with Manuel, that's what makes it really fun because he's just fun to have sex with. So it was a great scene. I can't wait for it to come out.”

One reason Ferrara is at the top of the game, according to Wilde, is “he's very passionate.”

“If he's not enjoying himself, you would never know. Because he has this way of making you feel very special when he's working with you and you don't get that type of passion from every talent in the industry,” Wilde says. “And you can really tell that he enjoys what he's doing. Obviously, he enjoys it, but you can really tell it's not just a job for him.”

There also is nothing routine about Michael Stefano, who won AVN Male Performer of the Year in 2004, one year before Ferrara won his first. It was Ferrara’s tweet about Stefano’s return to the industry this summer—when he teased that a “legendary performer” is coming back—that caught Wilde’s attention.

“And I was like if Manuel is giving him this type of praise—and I look at Manuel as like one of the top three performers in porn—then I need to work with this guy or at least I want to know what he's about,” Wilde says.

She shot with Stefano for Maestro Claudio's PervCity in a must-see scene titled "Anal Seduction."

“He's incredible. He's such a great performer. So much passion,” Wilde says.

Her agent, Mark Spiegler, tells AVN that the ambitious performer has grown up before his eyes.

"Jane has matured both as a person and as a performer,” says Spiegler, who has represented six of the past seven AVN Female Performer of the Year winners. “When I first met her she was doing pretty much any and all scenes that have come along, but as time has gone by she is much more picky about what type of scene and for whom—and with whom she’ll work.

“She’s really professional and always on time, especially nowadays with girls having to get Covid-tested between 6 and 7 a.m. She had a great year that would’ve been much greater if it hadn’t been interrupted. She’s choosing better projects like the Darkko showcase and higher-profile Mindgeek shoots.”

When Wilde considers her career progression in the past two years, she concludes that things could not have gone much better.

“I could not have imagined that everything that happened would have happened the way it did,” she says. “I’ve been looking back and being introspective about it. And I'm like, it's pretty cool. It’s pretty cool how things worked out and are continuing to work out.”

She adds, “I knew what I wanted to do when I got into this industry and it never changed and it still hasn't changed. I wanted to become a star and make a difference and make a lasting impact on fans of this industry.”
