Jenna Jameson was named “Female Pornographer of the Year” in the Adam Film World Awards For Excellence In Erotic Entertainment, in recognition of her bestselling book “How to Make Love Like Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale.” She also won the Best Actress Award her role in The Masseuse while her husband, director and performer, Justin Sterling, won Best Actor for his role in the same film.
“Jay and I are delighted with this new and unexpected honor, particularly since we had such a great time making the movie together,” Jameson said. “Also, I never set out to be the pornographer of the year when writing my book, but I am definitely happy with the title and I thank the guys at Adam Film World.”
Jameson’s well-reviewed book published by HarperCollins was on The New York Times bestseller list through much of 2004 and continues to be a top seller on Amazon.com.
“We chose Jenna for the top honor because she made adult entertainment all the more visible to so many people through the written word. Whether you agree or disagree with Jenna’s views on sex, love and/or life, her book helped make the porn star in general seem all the more complex, vulnerable and human in the eyes of the world,” said Anthony Petkovich, editor in chief of Adam Film World Guide, sponsors of the awards.
