Ivy Wolfe Announces Performing Hiatus

CYBERSPACE—Reigning AVN Best New Starlet Ivy Wolfe posted a statement to Twitter Thursday afternoon confirming circulating rumors that she has stepped away from performing ... at least temporarily.

Explaining that she felt the hiatus was necessary due to a history of mental health problems in her bloodline and a recent "break" she experienced, Wolfe went on to note, "I am beyond excited to come back, I hope to feel like I can in the next 6 months and do some really exciting stuff."

Wolfe's full statement follows:

Yes you have heard accurately, I am taking a break from shooting. If you follow my IG you may have noticed the incredibly spiritual and self love-esque changes. Lots of changes. I have been very hesitant to talk about this in any way. I can already feel the judgement, and disappointment. I don't wanna let anyone down. But I have to care about myself. I have to put my first. I have to. Before it's too late. There is a history of mental health issues in my family... schizophrenia, bipolar, and a few others.. As you know these are genetic. I started experiencing symptoms. I had a break of the sorts. No more will be said. I panicked, realized I could NOT continue shooting, and have been loving myself and paying attention to my mental health to the best of my ability. Sinking into spirituality, meditation, self-help books, and nature as comfort. I feel like I am shifting out of a lot that was holding me back and potentially really hurting me. And into a new version of me who truly loves, honors, and listens to herself. I am beyond excited to come back, I hope to feel like I can in the next 6 monts and do some really exciting stuff. I wanna say thank you to every to every person who understands and respects my decision. Who supports me and truly understands my situation, me, and my decision. Thank you for those of you who understand me, who see me in my honesty and appreciate me. I'm sorry to those of you who feel upset or let down in any way. I'm sorry. There is no way I could have continued shooting. Have a beautiful day."
