HIGHTSTOWN, NJ - International Video Distributors has struck a deal to distribute Bubba Raw, a new line of DVDs from radio shock-jock Bubba the Love Sponge.
Bubba currently hosts a popular live afternoon talk program on Sirius satellite radio and a live morning show on terrestrial radio stations in Tampa and Jacksonville, Fla. Bubba Raw will feature uncensored adult content shot in Bubba's studio.
The Bubba the Love Sponge Show has attracted a loyal audience with such outlandish segments as "Shock the Puss," "Shit Hits the Fan" and "Extreme Homeless Makeover." IVD believes that fan base will make the DVDs a big hit along the lines of "Girls Gone Wild."
"Bubba has such national notoriety," said IVD sales rep Pat Fischetti. "These DVDs will certainly tap into his fan base, and expose Bubba-fanatics to never-before seen outtakes and bits they've grown to love. But the best part is how Bubba appeals to ‘everyday folks' - not just porn-lovers. Once you see these titles, you'll be laughing at the water-cooler the next day. You can't always talk about porn DVDs at work, but the Bubba Raw DVDs are like a 'Girls Gone Wild'/'Jackass'-style combo. They're hilarious!"
Bubba has already found success with the 'Raw' content as a subscription feature on his website. He also found favor with the porn industry as a celebrity guest at the 2008 AVN Awards.
"See 25 Cent getting tasered... Gene Lasker's Crotch Explosion test going sadistically awry... and other hilarious pranks and escapades!" the 'Bubba Raw' ad copy raves. "Plus girl-on-girl action and plenty of gorgeous babes with knockout knockers, including girls showering together, right in Bubba's custom studio!"
Numerous porn stars have been featured on the Bubba the Love Sponge show, including Pleasure Productions girl Tera Wray and Wicked Pictures contract star Stormy Daniels.
"With a motley cast of characters and crazy antics, being on the Bubba show is like taking a trip to the Wild West!" said Stormy. A 20-year veteran of the airwaves, Bubba has been heard in a number of top radio markets including Chicago, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay and Milwaukee. He has won several Billboard awards and was named the top Active Rock Personality in 2002 and 2003 by Radio and Records. Bubba Raw 1 and Bubba Raw 2 will be available from IVD starting in mid-June. The distributor plans a major advertising and PR blitz to promote the line - which will be on sale at the next Bubbapalooza, scheduled for July 12 at Atlantic City's Trump Taj Mahal.
