It's National Selfie Day, And iWantClips Has A Contest For It

LOS ANGELES—Apparently it's National Selfie Day (who knew?) and iWantClips is giving its artists the opportunity to celebrate the "holiday"with a selfie photo contest that begins and ends today. Five winners will receive a GlowMe 2.0 LED Selfie Ring Light.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of our newest contest to iWantClips artists!” said James Power, Vice President of Operations of iWantEmpire, which operates iWantClips and several other sites. “By taking a selfie and sharing it on Twitter, they will get a chance to connect with more fans, artists in the community, grow their fan-base and be entered to win a fun and practical prize that provides a higher quality product to their photos, especially in low lit conditions. We picked the Selfie Ring Light because of a lighting issue we found at our club night at Liv in Miami... This simple application allows for a more lit, balanced image so artists don’t have to worry about missing those key moments to capture for their brand, and their fellow artists no matter the element. Club nights and dinners are an integral part of how we show our appreciation for iWantClips artists. It’s a wonderful way to bring newer artists closer into the fold of our brand, and for more tenured artists to share the experience and knowledge on how to really maximize their potential. It’s a fundamental team building exercise and we simply love doing it.”

To participate in the contest, iWantClips artists must take a selfie then post it on Twitter on June 21 (today), using the hashtags #iWantSelfies and #NationalSelfieDay. Five winners will be chosen at random based upon creativity and aesthetic value. Winners will be announced on June 25 and prizes will be distributed on or before July 1.
